Mesa Verde RV Resort, Mancos, Colorado

Date of Stay: May, 2010 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Great location for Mesa Verde. Has huge, pull through premium sites. We are 84' with the extra vehicle and we had lots of extra room. Beautiful view from the hillside sites. Has a great office/lounge area. We camped at Mesa Verde RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Rainbow Plantation - Escapees Rainbow Park , Summerdale, Alabama

Date of Stay: February, 2010 - $12.00
Overall Rating:

Nice big sites on grass, but with gravel underneath. Good paved roads and plenty of room to back in large 5th wheels. Some of the sites have standing water in them after rain. Best to get a site on the hillside. Almost all the sites have a live oak tree on them that provides plenty of shade. The WiFi is marginal. It is TenGo and may or may not work well for you depending on where you park. We camped at Rainbow Plantation - Escapees Rainbow Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Retama Village (55+ park), Palmview, Texas

Date of Stay: January, 2010 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

This is a private ownership park, but owners rent their sites from the rental website referenced. This is a very upscale 55+ adult resort. Huge (40x80' minimum) sites with carriage house and all concrete pads. Very nice tropical landscape, a great clubhouse and pool area. Very clean and neat. Some arranged activities, but not as many as the typical "big resort". Owners are very friendly towards renters. We camped at Retama Village (55+ park) in a Fifth Wheel.
