Elkhart County Fairgrounds, Goshen, Indiana

Date of Stay: September, 2010 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

We were here for the Escapee's Rally so not sure what the rate was so I just posted $25 because it wouldn't let me post without a dollar amount. We loved it here, although there were over 700 rigs. We never lost water pressure or electric. Staff was awesome and with this many people in one place you had no trouble getting around or found any trash anywhere. There is so much to do in the area that I would like to go back and stay. I gave it a 9 due to the fact that we weren't in the full hook up area so can't comment on that area, and the trains will wake you up at night because the tracks are right behind the fairgrounds. We camped at Elkhart County Fairgrounds in a Motorhome.

Prairie Pines Campground, Rantoul, Illinois

Date of Stay: September, 2010 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This is a must for anyone coming through the area and if not, then you should put it on your route. If we had not been in a hurry with already made reservations we would have stayed here longer. I called about 2 hours before we got here and was able to get a reservation for the night. The camp host was awesome and so friendly. They led us to our site. Our battery had gone dead due to us not having our door completely shut on our toad and they give us a jump. Will definitely stay here again if the opportunity ever arises. We camped at Prairie Pines Campground in a Motorhome.

Myrtle Beach State Park, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

Date of Stay: May, 2010 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for 7 days and would recommend this state park to anyone. Although we thought we were getting a site with sewer, we didn't but that was OK. Sites are level and the park is very clean. Entering the park you find beautiful shade trees and azaleas. The beach is awesome and very clean. Your pets are allowed before 8 AM and after 5 so that is nice. Although I hate that there are some who will not clean up after their pets regardless: it is those types that mess things up for those who will. If caught those people should be fined. I would stay here again and the price is reasonable, especially for the area. We camped at Myrtle Beach State Park in a Motorhome.

Croft State Natural Area, Spartanburg, South Carolina

Date of Stay: May, 2010 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

They said that they had never had motorhomes park at their facility before; we were the first. The staff and rangers were excellent. We were not sure if we could get into our site, and they were doing everything that they could to help us to find another one. We were able to back in without hardly any trouble and was very pleased. We were able to attend an English and Western horse show the weekend that we were there at the park. We camped at Croft State Natural Area in a Motorhome.

Jones RV Park, Norcross, Georgia

Date of Stay: May, 2010 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

I was very disappointed in this campground because everyone was right on top of each other, and there were a lot of homesteaders. It is not very clean, and people don't clean up after their pets. Will not stay here again. We camped at Jones RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tombigbee State Park, Tupelo, Mississippi

Date of Stay: May, 2010 - $14.00
Overall Rating:

Getting to the park was a little hairy with the curves and some of the limbs, but that is probably due to us being newbies. Once we arrived at the park it was very nice and quiet. The spots were level. The added extra is that this is a state park with sewer. The people there were very helpful. We would stay here again We camped at Tombigbee State Park in a Motorhome.
