Colorado Springs KOA, Fountain, Colorado

Date of Stay: May, 2010 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Bathrooms were a mess, outdated plumbing. Shower water turns cold before you finish, every time someone flushes it changes temp & pressure, which is already weak. Unattractive site near huge power lines, lots of train noise. Wanted to use hot tub, but it was packed with kids (which their welcome pamphlet said was forbidden to anyone under 18). Wouldn't pay full price to camp here. We camped at Colorado Springs KOA in a Tent.

Goldfield RV Park, Colorado Springs, Colorado

Date of Stay: May, 2010 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Good location for local attractions. Yes, it is cramped and this is mostly a no-frills place. But if you're just looking for a safe place to park and will spend most of your time site seeing and using this place only to shower & sleep it's a decent place to stay. It's quieter than you'd think. Also, I think it's only fair that you pay for the actual electricity you use, especially if you're not a utilities hog. We camped at Goldfield RV Park in a Truck Camper.
