Riveredge RV Park & Log Cabin Rentals, Pigeon Forge, Tennessee

Date of Stay: August, 2011 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Nice campground. Sites are small like all in the pigeon forge area. The creek sites have a steep tall bank not good if you have little kids. Bathrooms are super nice and clean. Park is located right before the entrance of the parkway to Gatlinburg right in the middle of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg which is nice. Pool and hot tub area is nice with a small wading pool for little kids 3 and under. It has a very small playground set for kids. Our Neighbor had a large slide out and was within about 3 feet of our fire ring. Close to Dollywood also. We camped at Riveredge RV Park & Log Cabin Rentals in a Travel Trailer.

Mackinaw City / Mackinac Island KOA, Mackinaw City, Michigan

Date of Stay: August, 2010 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Small campground, the playground is dated. Sites are small. You have to drive to Mackinaw City only a mile or two, but have to cross I-75. Showers were clean but are very old. Staff was nice. WiFi worked well. They have a free shuttle to the boat docks to go to Mackinaw Island. We camped at Mackinaw City / Mackinac Island KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Sandy Shores, Mears, Michigan

Date of Stay: August, 2010 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Clean park mostly seasonal campers and park models. Play ground is dated. Internet worked on and off ( the office said they had been having problems with WiFi.) You can ride your bikes from campground to local restaurants, ice cream shops, go cart track, etc. They have a bike path on the side of the road going into town. Showers require you to hold a handle down to get water, kind of a pain when your trying to shower. Silver Lake is a nice area. There were only 25-30 sites for non seasonal campers in the park and they are up front. Seasonal campers are nicely kept, no junk which was nice. I would stay again as it's a nice location close to town. (Not very big town at all.) We camped at Sandy Shores in a Travel Trailer.

Greenwood Acres Family Campground, Jackson, Michigan

Date of Stay: May, 2010 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Park is mostly seasonal campers park could be nice with some work. We where there and the park was packed. The bathrooms were not clean at all toilets were plugged up shower curtains were torn down in women bathroom. You need a long hookup for your dump tanks on a full hook up site like 25 feet or more. All the seasonals had PVC pipes running to the drains. Had a nice new play ground for the kids beach was OK. Maybe the bathroom thing was because of the holiday weekend and how full the park was. You have to look out for the golf carts everybody has one. We camped at Greenwood Acres Family Campground in a Travel Trailer.
