For our camping purposes this park is great. Sites are plenty large, hook ups good and love the dog park. A fair amount of road noise so tenters may want to skip this park.

Date of Stay:

Sites level gravel, hook ups fine. Sites not overly long for bigger rigs and they are very close together. Many seasonals there in all types of conditions. Some high end and others held together with banding wire. Owners were very nice and helpful. Grass kept nicely cut and walkways maintained well. Perfect for an overnight stop with easy access to I 70.

Second stop at this park and it is beautiful. I would like to see tenters in a seperate area as they constantly took short cuts through our site on their way to the unisex bathroom. I used the bathroom just before we left this AM and found that the tenters didn't know how to flush...disgusting. other than this the park and staff are wonderful and we will stay longer next visit.

The staff was wonderful. A dog run would be nice but there was a large area to take the pups to. It was easy to get to and a quick exit in the morning. Sites plenty long enough and not as packed in as the usual KOA. We will make this a stop in the future.

One of our all time favorite places to camp. The area is so relaxing with deer and other wildlife. Things you may not like, some sites have zip for internet and t v reception. It is a little distance from shopping etc. Still we feel the friendly folks that run the place and the smell of the pines make it an almost perfect camp for us.

One of our very favorite campgrounds bar none. Super friendly hard working owner and a warm welcome including the best muffins ever! Very nice sites with great hookups. Spotless restrooms. Bike rentals if you want them. We will continue to return to this campground in the future.

Great park and great people. Roads a tad steep but go slowly and take your time. You are guided to your site and welcomed warmly. The grounds are kept spotless by a nice young man. Good fenced dog run and doggie bag stations through tout the park. We will be back in the future.

Close enough to perfect for us. Great sites with concrete pads and great hookups. You pick your site. Suggestions would be a fenced in dog run and a bathroom near the marina. A few more dog bag stations would be nice too but all in all it was a very nice park and if we get back to this area we will return here.

Some sites are better than others. When we arrived the gentleman in the office was 'new' and overwhelmed. He wasn't able to process the credit card to pay and sent us the wrong way to back into site 18. We had to go around the rather tight inner roads to come in to the roadway the right direction. Once in the site, it was nice and private due to trees and shrubs between sites. It was quiet except for the neighbor doing occasional welding protects. Hook ups were OK but there should be a breaker on the electric box. A little more gravel would help the sites in rainy weather. Nice nature trails and walking paths. Many workers there sometimes parking two or more trucks in already tight areas. They clear out early to go to work so plan your arrival and departures. Once you are situated or if you are lucky enough to get a pull through you will be happy.

Nice park. Sites level and long enough but a little tight side to side. Rest rooms spotless. The fellow was super friendly and showed us to our site. Dog park was a nice bonus but could have used a grass cutting. Park does NOT allow portable enclosures so we had to hook up all three dogs and walk them to the park a few times a day. A pain for us especially the last outing of the night. Some of the other campers walked their pets on our space and did not partake of clean up duty. All in all the folks that run this camp are hard working and want to do a good job. We would stay again but not as long.

Nice park. Large sites. Tricky exit for big rigs as they have you going through an arch with 13 ft. 9 inch clearance in the middle! Plan B is through the gate and up a steep hill towards the office. Remove the arch! We came in using the GPS and went down a dirt/gravel narrow farm road...not great with a 37 foot fifth wheel. Better to get off exit 257 and go north on 11 to a nice easy access entrance. Heed this unless you enjoy adrenalin rushes. Sites rustic but we are camping aren't we. Good hook ups. Tv reception sucks. Really bad choice. B movies or the weather channel. Nbc or nbc...

Our second visit here. A wonderful park that we will visit again. Centrally located to things that we enjoy. Clean and very nicely situated sites that allow you plenty of room and privacy. One of the nicest parks around.

If you love being cramped with small sites that are very difficult to get into this is your park. There are many trees but that is part of the problem as they are right next to the access roads and backing into our site was a major effort. There was evidence that others didn't fare as well as we saw scrape marks on trees and ruts in the sites when people tried to back in. The gravel under the parking areas for campers is very narrow and when it rains, the sites are bogs making entrance messy. The price for staying here was very expensive. $64 a night and a minimum 3 night stay on holiday weekends. Not so nice for the transients. Park roads were confusing as they had to go around the trees and were very narrow. Many are one way but not marked as such. Could be a nice park if they would eliminate every other site and the trees along the roads. We will not stay here again.

Fairly close together. Luckily the folks next to us were seasonal and did not arrive while we were there. Level sites with nice shade trees. Very nice owners that offered to shelter us when the tornado sirens sounded. No really secure spots to go but better than staying in the camper. Men's room showers were very difficult to use for the man of average height. Very low shower heads necessitated bending down to wash your hair! Showers need more ventilation to be comfortable. We would stay there again as the pluses outweighed the minuses.

Date of Stay:

My biggest complaint was that they advertise wooded sites and those have all been rented to seasonal campers. Bathrooms are clean but sure could use updating. The toilet area would not stay locked while in use. The showers are not all that private as the spaces above and below the doors are large. The sites that they assign to transients are lined up very close together. The sewer hook ups are in strange locations for each site. The next door hook up is right under the picnic table for our site!!! OK for an overnight stay but would not stay longer again. When I used the showers, I did not notice anything bad about the water. They may now have city water as we can smell the chlorine. Better than what I read in other reviews.
