Unicoi State Park and Lodge, Helen, Georgia

Date of Stay: June, 2011 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

Great park. We stayed a week in a full hook up site (there are only about a dozen of these, I believe) and the sites were VERY shaded and were only steps away from a small creek. Be weary however regarding units with multiple slides. We have two slides and by my estimate only a few of the sites would have accommodated us. Restrooms were cleaned regularly, but like at most state parks they are not cooled. We will definitely stop there again. We camped at Unicoi State Park and Lodge in a Travel Trailer.

Great park and staff. Great restrooms. The park and pool area are nice, and the arcade was a nice touch. Only drawbacks are the sites are pretty close together, but we will definitely camp here again. We camped at Riveredge RV Park & Log Cabin Rentals in a Travel Trailer.

Oak Mountain State Park, Pelham, Alabama

Date of Stay: June, 2010 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

The park itself is fantastic but the campground is only average. We stayed in the B loop (didn't even ride through the A loop). The sites were level and there was decent amount of space between sites. Very shaded as well. The problem is the bath house. They are VERY dated and only marginally clean. They do have sewer hookup so if you can take showers in the camper this one is worth checking out. TONS of activities to do from hiking, horseback riding, golf, lake swimming. We camped at Oak Mountain State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Johnny's Lakeside RV Resort , Foley, Alabama

Date of Stay: May, 2010 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

The staff was very friendly, the grounds were extremely clean, and the water park was great. While we were there they were working on a game room for the kids. Great park with lots to do for the kids and close to great shopping and restaurants. We camped at Johnny's Lakeside RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.
