Lake Chicot State Park, Lake Village, Arkansas

Date of Stay: August, 2010 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very spacious park with nice sized lots. The temperature was over 100 degrees, so we had the entire park to ourselves, except for the millions of ants that were inside and outside our motorhome. It was quite a big problem. The staff was very friendly, and the lake is beautiful. I'm sure in cooler weather, this park is very busy. We camped at Lake Chicot State Park in a Motorhome.

Sandpoint Marina & RV Park, Lake Havasu City, Arizona

Date of Stay: April, 2009 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

This is an old, run-down park with extremely tight spaces. Be prepared to pay extra for everything, including a $5.80 per day charge for air conditioning, whether you use it or not, and an $8.00 charge for your tow car. This park will nickel and dime you for charges that are normally included in the overnight rate. Very overpriced park, but can't complain about the water view, it is beautiful. We would only return here for the view. We camped at Sandpoint Marina & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Black Bear Cove, Benton, Tennessee

Date of Stay: August, 2007 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

This is a small, new park, therefore, not much shade. But, we enjoyed the beautiful scenery, secured walking path, friendly staff, and swimming pool. Only problem we encountered was the availability of laundry room. The park will be expanding soon with a new lodge, cabins, and chapel. We would love to return someday! We camped at Black Bear Cove in a Fifth Wheel.

Bastrop / SE Austin / Colorado River KOA, Bastrop, Texas

Date of Stay: April, 2007 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Very neat and clean park located next to the scenic Colorado River. The fishing deck with rocking chairs was a peaceful, relaxing touch. The only negatives were the very, very noisy highway traffic located only a short distance from the park, and the office personnel seemed to never be available when needed. We camped at Bastrop / SE Austin / Colorado River KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Park On The Lake, Willis, Texas

Date of Stay: April, 2006 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

The park is not on the lake. There is a canal that leads from several of the campsites to the lake, but the lake is extremely low, and it's very difficult to get there. Besides, most of the premium spots on the water are taken by permanent and/or seasonal residents. Park could use more garbage dumpsters, as they were always full and not very conveniently located. We did find the hot tub and swimming pool clean and very inviting. The staff was also very friendly and helpful. We camped at Park On The Lake in a Fifth Wheel.

This RV park is no resort. Very overpriced, laundry facilities dirty, park is very rundown and dumpy, junk everywhere. Staff not very friendly. We will never stay here again. We camped at Fireside Resort at Buffalo Valley in a Fifth Wheel.
