Cal Expo RV Park, Sacramento, California

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

All sites are concrete or paved. Can accommodate all sizes of RV's. Very quiet. You do hear trains in the distance but they did not interrupt my sleep. We would stay here again. We camped at Cal Expo RV Park in a Motorhome.

Clearlake Campground (formerly Shady Acres Campground), Clearlake, California

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

We were under mandatory evacuation orders due to the Mendocino Complex fires. Called the campground and spoke with one of the owners. She had sites suitable for our RV. We left Sun 29, 2018 and on the way the RV broke down. We added antifreeze and hobbled into the park but could not get the RV all the way into the space because it died and would not start. They were so gracious even though we were blocking part of the road. They found someone with a power truck which got us back into the space at no charge to us. Very gracious owners. I got on the phone to Good Sam and they could have a tow truck to us on Thursday and it would take the RV to Sacramento which was about 135 miles. Quite an experience. The park is rustic but clean and they are working on it with upgrades to WIFI and general park improvements. We would definitely stay here again when there is no smoke from the fires! We camped at Clearlake Campground (formerly Shady Acres Campground) in a Motorhome.

Spaces roomy. 21 miles to Yosemite Park Entrance. 18 mies more to get to the valley. Our destination was the Majestic Hotel, took 1 1/2 Hours on a Wednesday. The park was packed and hot 98*. Fort Willcox RV Park, Willcox, Arizona

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Easy in and out. The lady who checked us in was very nice and helpful. She offers free waffles daily and makes delicious pies available for sale. The site was pretty level with a picnic table, no shade. The town has several wine tsting stops and other attractions. We had a spot next to Haskell Ave. which is a very busy frontage road next to Hwy 10, so during the week starting at 4 AM if you are a light sleeper you may as well get out of bed because the noise of whizzing cars, trucks and semi's coupled with the trains running every half hour eliminates the possibility of sleeping. We camped at Fort Willcox RV Park in a Motorhome.

San Jacinto Riverfront RV Park, Highlands, Texas

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

1 night stop over. Getting to the park down the town street was a little challenging. They staff was very friendly and accommodating. They did give us #1 spot near front gate but we did not experience any noise as others have. I would have rated a 10 but think it is a little over priced and their non-refundable deposit rules for just 1 night can pose a problem if you run into RV problems on the road. We camped at San Jacinto Riverfront RV Park in a Motorhome.

River Walk RV Park, San Antonio, Texas

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

Filled out the reservation form on the website; they said they did not receive it. They said the only site available was a back-in. There was foot deep potholes on the dirt road to the site #48 and they were not numbered. They advertise cable but site #48 had none. The restroom was clean but toilet paper was not provided because you could not flush toilet paper. The showers were clean. The Wi-Fi was spotty. The park is 6 miles from the Riverwalk. We camped at River Walk RV Park in a Motorhome.

Premier RV Resorts of Redding , Redding, California

Date of Stay: August, 2013 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

The sites were pretty level with a table and shade tree. The set-up was weird in that all the paved roads had arrows going in only one direction; so you had to go against the arrows to get out and the turns were tight. The grounds were clean. Great wi-fi and cable. Very friendly staff. Very quiet with little street noise. Why didn't I rate it higher? I thought the price was out of line. We camped at Premier RV Resorts of Redding in a Motorhome.

This is a great park. Almost level partially paved and fine gravel sites. Very clean, well maintained. Very good Wi-Fi and cable. Clean laundry $1 wash, 25 cents for 15 minute dry. Quiet yet close to Hwy 101. One half mile to grocery and shopping. Fifteen miles north of Depoe Bay, which is full of shops and eateries and fishing whale watching excursions. Highly recommend. Beachfront RV Park, Brookings, Oregon

Date of Stay: August, 2013 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Bathroom/showers were disgusting, so we did not use them. We were in the 2nd row in a back-in spot with limited ocean views. The row in front had unobstructed views. The sites were gravel and almost level. Fire pits were available upon request. Table was on cement patio. Easy in and out. We camped at Beachfront RV Park in a Motorhome.
