Shenandoah Valley Campground, Verona, Virginia

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

Lovely setting down in valley with river and waterfalls within camp grounds. Sites nothing but dirt and gravel. Lots of space to hike and walk about. Hot tubs needs to be re-conditioned as only one out of three was fully functional. Outdoor pool heated (83 degrees) and lovely. Will camp here again if passing through and needs to stop. We camped at Shenandoah Valley Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Beacon Hill Campground (Ages16+), Intercourse, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

Location, Location, Location is what it has going for it. Walking distance into Intercourse. Proximity close to roads and highway. Sites very close together and our site was extremely un-level. Termed a pull-thru but there was no possible way I was going to be able to navigate twisty descending un-level road way to use site as a pull through with a 40ft fiver. Transition from road to site was so un-level that ladder and hydraulic stabilizer dragged ground and I had to put wood under my wheels to raise fiver to leave site without damaging fiver as I pulled out. Truly don't see this campground as practical for units over about 36ft. We camped at Beacon Hill Campground (Ages16+) in a Fifth Wheel.

French Quarter RV Resort, New Orleans, Louisiana

Date of Stay: April, 2012 - $79.00
Overall Rating:

Location, Location, Location. One well lit block from the French Quarter. Felt very secure and had no issue walking back at dusk 3 nights. Would take a taxi from the French Quarter if late at night. Noise and light from city and the I-10 kept me awake, but I can't blame the resort for that. Great base camp to explore the French Quarter. We camped at French Quarter RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Mama Gertie's Hideaway Campground, Swannanoa, North Carolina

Date of Stay: October, 2010 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful campground location on mountain side. Nerve wracking hills and curves getting the rig into a campsite. Don't show up after 6pm as the office closes and because of curves, hills and narrow roads no late self check in allowed. You will have to stay in parking lot overnight. We camped at Mama Gertie's Hideaway Campground in a Motorhome.

Eby's Pines Campground, Bristol, Indiana

Date of Stay: June, 2010 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

OK park. I expected it to be more high-end. The grounds are pretty un-kept and scruffy along with some of the seasonal unit's. The grounds and gardens are just weed beds. Excellent Wi-Fi albeit a little pricey at $5 a day. Actually best Wi-Fi I have found in a campground. Deluxe pull through 50 amp site's are very narrow, slide-out's are within 12 inches of your neighbors awning. We camped at Eby's Pines Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
