My family and I camped here for something different. You pay a load of money but it is worth it. The staff was very friendly and there was coffee and sweet rolls available on Saturday and Sunday, but I didnt go. We stayed in a very nice spot with our fire ring near the shore line so we could watch the fire and the lake at the same time. I loved the showers and the bathroom. I forgot my bike, and it's nice to have one because it is a big place!!!

Well My family and I are regulars since we live in Bessemer. We know the seasonals down here. If you like to go to bed early, DO NOT COME HERE!! There is a lot of partying here but it will be quiet by 11PM. The rate is a little expensive for what you get. 5 spots are walk-in spots and another 5 are tent spots along the lake so that doesn't leave many spots for trailers. If you are traveling I suggest you go to the driftwood where you can get a spot. There are no reservations.

My family and I spent a weekend here just for fun. It wasn't much fun. The rules are strict and the host had problems. You get all sun all day and the beach is only one foot wide. The only good thing was the long fishing dock. Do not come here!!!

This park is run under by Upper Peninsula Power Company. It is one mile east of US-45 in Paulding. The park has rustic camping with spots scattered all along the north shore of the flowage. There is a office to check in by the entrance.

Black River is run under the Ottawa national forest. This means there is rustic camping with no hook ups. But this NFC has a sewer dump station and water fill ups in the front of the campground and flush toilets. The spots are separated with woods so you get some privacy. The campground is along L. Superior. There are about 4 lakeside spots. About a 1/2 mile west is Black River Harbor with a picnic area, a beach for swimming, a boat landing and long/short term boat parking. It is 15 miles away from Bessemer on City RD 513. Just turn at the stoplight in Bessemer.l
