Evergreen Lakes Campground, Bath, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: May, 2010 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very nicely kept campground. It has a beautiful lake and the people who work there are nice. They have a huge field that could easily fit a pool, yet they don't have one. That is why my rating is not as high. They have paddle and row boats and pay fishing (another downside). Unfortunately, all of the spots are shaded and therefore it can get kind of chilly and the ground is covered in sticks, acorns and rocks (this was a problem the year that we stayed in a tent.) The bathrooms are old but clean. The rec room is really old, and half the arcade machines do not work (and they refuse to refund your money). The playground is also very outdated. It has a few minor drawbacks but I definitely recommend you stay here for a nice, relaxing camping experience. We camped at Evergreen Lakes Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Colonial Woods Family Camping Resort, Upper Black Eddy, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: May, 2010 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

My biggest gripe is that the staff here is incredibly rude. Rudeness is something that can completely ruin your stay, and it is what made me rate this campground so low. The site we stayed in wasn't level and was very awkward to get into. The pools were not opened when we visited, but they looked very nice. They had some fishing lakes which looked very dirty (as in littered, with trash). The playground was very modern and updated. The bathrooms are spread very far apart. Also, be prepared for a very treacherous drive on your way here. We camped at Colonial Woods Family Camping Resort in a Travel Trailer.
