I picked this park to spend a week at while we wondered around the mountains this summer because of the excellent rating it has on this web site. I must say it didn't quite live up to it's billing, at least not in our opinion. The owners of the park are wonderful people and will do anything they can to make your stay better so that's a plus. There are nice panoramic views of the mountains but we had to look over some self storage units to see the mountains. The sites are gravel and fairly level, all full hook up sites are back in, there are some pull throughs with water and electricity only. Water pressure was low, about 45 lbs, voltage was good. The sites are fairly close together. There are no picnic tables at the sites, they are all in a common area behind all the Rv's. Plenty of space for dog walking, our Jack Russel was in heaven wanting to chase the Rabbits and ground hogs. Overall we enjoyed our stay, the area is beautiful and the temps were cool and the park is nice but we probably won't go back. I know that the park is for sale and the new Rv resort that's just opened up down the street will probably do this little park in but maybe not. We went down and drove through the new Rv resort and it's very nice and unless they go crazy with their prices, will get most of the business.

This is one of the most beautiful parks we've stayed in. We had a river site, #2, which was beautiful , plenty of room between sites. These sites are designed for motorhomes to pull in for a view of the river, 5th wheels or travel trailers that back in might need some extra sewer hoses and such. Sites are fairly level, utilities were good, water pressure was approx 50 lbs. the owners are the best. Bill will do anything he can to take care of you, we stayed for 6 nights and loved it, we will be back.

This park is just about how the reviews make it out to be. The term "resort" is used loosely but all in all not a bad place to stay. The worst thing about our stay was the stickers in the dogs feet, there are stickers everywhere. Other points are, easy check in, friendly office staff, our site was not very level and was mostly dirt, granite gravel, utilities were ok except for the sewer hose that had to flow uphill, had to trim a couple of limbs to get the slides out. Lots of winter Texans but all of the folks we met were very nice, we did have a nice view of the lake.

Only stayed 1 night but wish we could of stayed longer. Park is only a couple of miles north of I-10 and easy to find. Check in was easy, they have a huge TV on the wall with a map of the park on the screen that shows you what sites are available and which are not and then you pick the site you want, pretty cool. The big trailer loop are all pull through sites, inside and outside sites with a large grassy area in the middle. Our site was fairly level, 30 amp was good, voltage on both legs was 120 and steady, water pressure was good, sewer hookup was standard threaded PVC. Each site has a huge yard with picnic table and fire pit. There are several TV stations available over the air, Verizon signal was good. Lots of hiking trails, there's a golf course right there plus lot's of historical stuff as well. Yes, we will be back.

Most RV parks connected to a motel are not always the best but this park is the exception. Located about 3 miles south of I-10 it's easy to find. Check-in is in the motel office and was quick, they give you lots of local info to go through as well. Interior roads are paved and wide, sites are concrete, there are pull-throughs and back-ins as well, our's was a large pull-through that was level, 50 amp was good, water pressure was good, spacing between sites was very good, lot's of grass for the doggies as well, cable and Wi-Fi were good, Verizon signal was good as well. Staff will pick up propane bottles for fill up which was nice, fully stocked fishing pond with no license needed. Quite a few long term campers but no eyesores, place is well kept and very neat. We will stay here again.

I was pleasantly surprised by this park; we had planned on an overnight but ended up staying a week. It's kind of off the beaten path but not hard to find. Check in was quick; lady in the office was sick as a dog, so I got out of there pronto. Office is very small as well. Interior roads are paved and in fair shape; sites are concrete and level, well spaced and mostly back in, but then road is wide so no problem. Voltage was right on the money and water pressure was good; sewer hook up requires a donut and was a pain; most folks didn't bother with the donut. There are trash cans spread out about every other site with bags in them and are checked often. Casino is a stone's throw away, but nobody comes to the RV park that doesn't belong. There is a shuttle from the casino that cruises through about every 15 or 20 minutes if you don't want to walk. The walk is about 10 minutes. Plenty of good walking area for the doggies as well. Walmart and other shopping very close by. We would stay here again.

We really like this camp ground. We've stayed here twice and spent about a week here each time and the next time we're in Florida we'll come back. The park is located right off the main highway in Destin (across from Walmart) but road noise is minimum, at night the sound of the ocean is louder than the traffic. There is a lot of military helicopters flying around but that doesn't bother us. Check in was quick and the office folks are very nice. Interior roads are wide and paved, sites are both pull through and back in and all of them are isolated from each other by space and landscaping. Our site was a long pull through but was curved enough that getting our 40 ft 5th wheel in and unhooked was a chore, next time I'll get a back in. The site was fairly level, voltage was good, water pressure good. Verizon signal was very strong, got about 10 TV channels over the air. Site had a picnic table and a close line kind of thing. The beach is about 2 or 3 minutes drive, white sand and blue water, beautiful! We'll be back!

Wonderful state park, they call this the "real" Florida and I believe it, beautiful scenery in an old south setting. Check in was fairly quick, interior roads are paved, site pads are gravel/dirt which are no problem unless it rains which it did. Had to do some work to level the trailer, 30 amp was good, water pressure was ok. Verizon signal is strong, over the air TV signal was fair, about 5 channels. Sites are very well spaced out, lots of privacy. Lots of on site stuff to check out. Very nice park. We'll be back!

Very nice, clean well maintained park, the landscaping is awesome. Each site is owned privately as has been said in many of the reviews so there are no bad sites in the entire resort, we got a waterfront site which is amazing. site is level, all utilities work fine. Interior roads are kind of narrow but not bad. Gotta put down a $20 deposit for your entry card and you have to hook up some type of cable descrambler to watch TV,3 nice pools and a restaurant on site, right outside the front gate is a very tasty Cuban restaurant, I highly recommend it. We would stay here again.

We had reserved a water front site, which was awesome, the sunsets were amazing, only problem is they don't tell you the utilities are on the wrong side of the site for a fifth wheel backing in. They are for Motor homes to pull in, no worries, I carry plenty of extensions but wish I'd been told. Office folks are very friendly and helpful. was led to our site and offered to help set up. everything is white gravel, sites are separated by a hedge of some sort, hibiscus maybe, they are just a little too close for my liking but not bad, not level either but not bad. utilities were fine except on the wrong side, kind of strange having a sewer hose run across your front patio. Pool was awesome, nice laundry, nice exercise room, huge boat dock and launching area, lots of Manatee's in the area. we will stay here again.

Where to start, First off I paid for an ocean view, premium site and I would of had to get on the roof of the camper to see the water instead we stared at a wall of mangrove trees out of the back and a bunch of stored campers in front, of course they were full and we could not move. Don't get me wrong, they do have some out of this world views in many spots and they paid the same price I did. There is no sewer in the park and the people who left from our spot before we arrived felt compelled to dump gray water before they left and since the sites are all grass it made somewhat of a mess. They do have a honey wagon that drives around pumping poo all day for $10 a pump. Lots of very old trailers and motor homes but lots of high end stuff as well. Site was not level, blocks are a must, levelers will just sink in the ground. Had low voltage on 1 leg of the 50 amp, leg 1 was 124 volts, leg 2 was 106. Told the ladies at the office and they said they would look at it, didn't happen so we left 4 days early with no refund. Not going back.

Stayed a week over the Christmas holidays and what can you say it's Disney. First of all check in was interesting since you stay in your vehicle the entire time kind of like a toll both, the process took a little while but everything is taken care of at that point including all park tickets, show reservations, dinner reservations, golf cart reservations, the whole 9 yards and it's at this point were our visit went way off tract. We had made some last minute changes in ticket package and it got totally screwed up. First we were given a spot in a pop up loop, we have a 40 ft fifth wheel, we like of never got out of there, drove back up the registration booth and of course the person we had talked to was now off duty, apparently these people don't have access to the "whole" story because the new dude in the too small cowboy hat said he could upgrade me to a premium spot for a mere $800 bucks more, I had already paid over $1600 dollars for this vacation 7 months earlier so you can understand my hesitation to pay, anyway it all got worked out and they even camped us about $100 in the end. As far as the park goes, interior roads are asphalt and tight all are back in and can be a challenge, electricity is at the back of the site and water and sewer at the front, no wifi which is a shame for the price, site was level with a good separation between sites. Be sure to reserve a golf cart, especially on the weekend, they will run out of them. There's tons of stuff to do right there at the campground, 3 pools, tennis courts play grounds bike rentals restaurants and bars. We will be back but it'll be awhile.

Not a bad stop over for the night, our site was not very level, utilities worked ok, staff was friendly, lots of dog walking room. Quite a few long term folks but park was clean and well maintained. Would stay here again.

Spent a week at this park visiting family in the area. Stayed in one of the large super sites which was very nice. Check in was quick, office staff were friendly, interior roads are gravel, site was asphalt and level. All utilities worked ok. Park is well maintained but starting to look a little old. Fuel, shopping and dining are all near by. This was our second time to stay here and we'll be back.

Only stayed 1 night here but wished we could've stayed longer, beautiful Corp of Engineers park. We had preregistered so we just drove straight to our site when we arrived, they had a little red reserved tag clipped to the post by our site. The park is clean and well maintained, asphalt roads and sites, huge amount of space between sites, all utilities worked well, we had a 100ft pull through with an awesome view of the lake. I guess the only negative for me was I had to go about 10 miles into Montgomery to get fuel, food or groceries would have been even further but most folks who use this park will not be concerned with this issue. Would definitely stay here again.
