Warning! There was a big sign on the office door on June 11, 2010, later confirmed by the unfriendly lady who runs the place, that their septic system is non-functional. They have NO sewer hook-ups. She claims there is NO black water dump these days anywhere between Las Vegas and Ely in this part of eastern Nevada.

We took Space #1 next to the trees with a partial view overlooking historic Tonopah. Yes, it's just a big parking lot but we enjoyed feeding the birds, the facilities were fine, it was very quiet at night, and it was a short walk down to the excellent Central Nevada Museum or up to Scolari's market to reprovision. A good location.

Never spoke to anyone "in charge" here, but it wasn't necessary as there is a box to drop off the money and the doors to the showers were unlocked. Unfortunately, there was no water hook-up in the space we chose (#18), but we pulled into another site before leaving and filled up, so not a problem for us. Other residents were very friendly and helped us. The sites are not very level and very close together; also some road noise but has nice shade trees.
