Cave Country RV Campground, Cave City, Kentucky

Date of Stay: August, 2010 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

We were here a week: reason is once you sign in, you can not get a refund. And they do not tell you all the rules until you sign. We had no longer got settled when a train came ripping through just one row from us. Did not see tracks. It comes every hour at least, some times more: busy place. We also asked for a lot with the biggest tree, none are big so we got a lot with no tree. Apparently the owner is not on location and no changes can be made. It is easy in and out and good location for spending time at area. We camped at Cave Country RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Lovely city RV park next to bay that leads into lake superior, on water, off US2 by Ore Dock. Sits in the shadow of a huge old iron ore dock. interesting but quiet area of state. We camped at Ashland City RV Park (Kreher Park) in a Motorhome.

Tom's Cove Park, Chincoteague, Virginia

Date of Stay: June, 2010 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

We called to see if there were available sites and were lucky enough to get a waterfront in our 36' motorhome. We were thrilled the first morning to wake and see the ponies across the bay in the fog. Just a wonderful view. Has two fishing docks that were well used and boat dock, toured area for a few days and would recommed this to all. We camped at Tom's Cove Park in a Motorhome.

Our 2nd time at this park and it is really a beautiful place. We had a view of inter coastal from site. Only draw back in entrance to Jenkins road which is difficult to get in and out of due to traffic. Have patience. We camped at Hilton Head Harbor RV Resort & Marina in a Motorhome.

Oak Plantation Campground, Charleston, South Carolina

Date of Stay: June, 2010 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for a week. Park is nicely keep and pretty but we were put way in the back in back row with people that seem to live here. I don't know why as there were empty spots up front. Noise from roads behind park at times was very loud, especially firetrucks. Water is terrible, even through our filter. We had to buy water to drink and make coffee. You are a long way to town and things to see. There are no refunds if you want to leave early. We camped at Oak Plantation Campground in a Motorhome.
