Van Buren State Park, South Haven, Michigan

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

This is old State Park which a little tired and worn. There are no septic hooks so longer stays can be tricky. However the location is awesome. Along a beautiful state park beach and just 5 miles down they road from the quaint lake harbor town of South Haven. 17 kmiles North of South Haven is the art village of Saugetuck one of the most popular resort towns in Michigan. If your looking for beautiful scenery and quaint resort towns this is it. We camped at Van Buren State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Pontchartrain Landing, New Orleans, Louisiana

Date of Stay: June, 2010 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

The entrance road to the park might make you think twice but once you get back to the Park you will find it is a good location, friendly and safe. The area is under redevelopment so this will be improving. You can actually see the skyline of New Orleans from the upper deck around the office. Pool, pavilion, and bar are very nice. My wife after retreated to the A/C in the camper due to the heat and commented she wished there was an air conditioned work out room. The very next morning I saw work being done on a new work out room under the office. The park is also pet friendly with a dog run and clean up bags in the park. The best surprise was a free shuttle running to the French Qtr's daily. The Quarters is only 6 miles away. This will be our destination when we want to visit New Orleans. We camped at Pontchartrain Landing in a Travel Trailer.

Majestic Oaks RV Resort, Biloxi, Mississippi

Date of Stay: June, 2010 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

We just moved from MI to Hattiesburg and camped out here a week while waiting on our house to be ready. A very nice development. Friendly, clean and safe. Could not ask for more. We were impressed with how many people we met were either permanent or repeat customers which speaks well for the park. The Saturday cook out was a pleasant surprise. This will be our home away from home when visiting the area. You will not be disappointed. We camped at Majestic Oaks RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.
