Tucson / Lazydays KOA, Tucson, Arizona

Date of Stay: November, 2011 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

We had stayed here previously when it was Beaudry owned. Now new owners, has had a facelift and is very clean. The staff was very friendly: always a smile and wave. Great food and service in the restaurant on site. Large sites with parking for 2 vehicles besides RV. Has easy access to I-10 but minimal road noise. Will definitely stay here again. (Our 2 night stay was actually free on a "get acquainted" special rate they had, but I believe the daily rate for high season was ~$49.00.) We camped at Tucson / Lazydays KOA in a Motorhome.

Santa Fe Skies RV Park, Santa Fe, New Mexico

Date of Stay: June, 2010 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

First Impression - Large unnecessary speed bumps inside the park on the way to registration. Knee high weeds between sites, no picnic table without a "patio" site. Good length pull-throughs, park was quiet with no road noise. OK for overnight stay. We camped at Santa Fe Skies RV Park in a Motorhome.

Pikes Peak RV Park, Manitou Springs, Colorado

Date of Stay: June, 2010 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

While the sites were close together, the overall ambience of this park more than compensated. Host met us upon arrival and helped us back into our site, and he and his wife had smiles the full two weeks we were here. The park is walking distance from Manitou Springs, has a nice stream in the front and a walking trail in the back. The morning daily paper was a nice touch. We plan to return when we are able. We camped at Pikes Peak RV Park in a Motorhome.

Raton Pass Camp and Cafe (Formerly Cedar Rail), Raton, New Mexico

Date of Stay: June, 2010 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Spectacular location - On the NM-CO border with breathtaking views. Family-run park, very friendly. Level sites, full hook-ups. Near I-25 but minimal road noise. Not in or near Raton NM or Trinidad CO, but that is a plus in my book. Would stay here again. We camped at Raton Pass Camp and Cafe (Formerly Cedar Rail) in a Motorhome.

USA RV Park, Gallup, New Mexico

Date of Stay: June, 2010 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Friendly staff, level sites, we had a pull-through that was long enough for our 40' MH and attached Jeep. They had a pool and offered a BBQ dinner. Minimal shade in the park. A good overnight spot for traveling on I-40. Would stay here again. We camped at USA RV Park in a Motorhome.

Bolsa Chica State Beach, Huntington Beach, California

Date of Stay: April, 2010 - $65.00
Overall Rating:

We have stayed here for a least 1 week a year for the past 6 years, and the facilities get less care while the prices go up. It is actually a blacktop parking lot with very close quarters, but it is right on the beach. No sewer, so have to watch black & gray tanks closely. Will look at other options in the future. We camped at Bolsa Chica State Beach in a Motorhome.
