Rafter J Bar Ranch Camping Resort, Hill City, South Dakota

Date of Stay: June, 2010 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

Lots of room, but the different camps are pretty far apart, so you pretty much have to drive to the pool or to the store or to the pancake breakfast they have each morning. Good location to see everything in the Hills though without ever having to drive very far. Can only have campfires from 5pm-11pm & they diligently enforce it. So no late night around the fire. Would research other places in the area before staying again. We camped at Rafter J Bar Ranch Camping Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Chadron State Park, Chadron, Nebraska

Date of Stay: June, 2010 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed one night on our way to the Black Hills. Great location for families. Lots of activities. Friendly staff. Lots of Blue birds. The Eastern part of the state doesn't know what they're missing. Sites are well maintained, but our neighbor complained about our talking so maybe the sites are a little close together. No phone reception. Would stay again for even longer. We camped at Chadron State Park in a Travel Trailer.
