Little Turtle RV & Storage, Eufaula, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We spent one night here when we were traveling through this area. This is a fairly new park - at least, the part we saw. The sites are paved, roads are gravel, and there are tables. It is very pleasant and is convenient to Hwy 69. We did not hear a lot of road noise, and the sites all look clean and neat, even though they do have a lot of long term residents. We would stop here again when in the area. We camped at Little Turtle RV & Storage in a Motorhome.

I-35 RV Park, Waco, Texas

Date of Stay: February, 2017 - $12.00
Overall Rating:

This park is very convenient to Waco area. The sites are clean, even though they have a large number of long term residents. They have a nice pool area, a work out room, and a breakfast cafe on site. Laundry was clean and very inexpensive. We would go back if in the area. We were here for a month, so the rate reflects that. We camped at I-35 RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Waco has a number of things to do, including the Magnolia Market at the Silos (from the Fixer-Upper show on HGTV). The Dr. Pepper museum and the Texas Ranger museum are both there. There is also a Craft Village very close to the park, and it has several stores, artisan cheese, wood and other products, all made on site.

Garden of the Gods Campground, Colorado Springs, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Really small site for our motorhome. There was a large pick-up next to us that looked like it was under our slide, it was so close. No grass, few flowers, just rock in the site. We had a patio, with table. Price reflects monthly rate, including electric, which is separate. We camped at Garden of the Gods Campground in a Motorhome.

Santa Fe Skies RV Park, Santa Fe, New Mexico

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

We came here to enjoy Santa Fe for a few days. This park is off the beaten path, and is quiet. It seems to be quite busy. It is landscaped, and there are plants and flowering shrubs at the sites. We camped at Santa Fe Skies RV Park in a Motorhome.

Midway RV Park, Dexter, New Mexico

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $16.00
Overall Rating:

Just a small stop in an area that doesn't have any tourist draws, except it is close to Roswell. The park was fine for an overnight stop. A serious wind storm blew threw in the afternoon after we arrived. Locals told us that it is generally very windy there. We camped at Midway RV Park in a Motorhome.

Davis Mountains State Park, Fort Davis, Texas

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

We had a nice site, with a great view. There are scenic drives, and we were there for the Independence Day celebration, which was quite busy. The town is really interesting - we thoroughly enjoyed the Skyline Drive in the park, and visited the Indian Lodge State Park, which is inside Davis Mountains SP. We camped at Davis Mountains State Park in a Motorhome.

Blanco State Park, Blanco, Texas

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

This park is on the edge of Blanco, and you can walk to the town square. The park has the Blanco River running thru it, and it the CCC built a pool and several concrete dams so that people come here to lounge or swim in the water. The park is scenic, and is quite nice. The town has several decent cafes. We camped at Blanco State Park in a Motorhome.

Lady Bird Johnson Municipal Park, Fredericksburg, Texas

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here because it is just south of Fredericksburg, and we wanted to spend a few days here. Also, the park is in a city park, which has lots of places to walk. There is also a city pool and a golf course (extra $), which we did not use. It is pleasant in the park, and quiet. We camped at Lady Bird Johnson Municipal Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The town of Fredericksburg was a German settlement, and there it still has very much of a German feel. Lots of German food, and the buildings and stores were built in a style to reflect that.

Inks Lake State Park, Burnet, Texas

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Our site had 50 amp electric and water. Water to the space was off due to a break in a water pipe in the circle. It's a very nice park with lots of trees, and the lake for fishing and swimming. We camped at Inks Lake State Park in a Motorhome.

Mother Neff State Park, Moody, Texas

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

We had a full hookup site with 50 amp electric. The park is not large, and the best part, near the river was closed and still flooded from rains earlier in the month. But it is a well kept park. We camped at Mother Neff State Park in a Motorhome.

Central Park of Haines City , Haines City, Florida

Date of Stay: October, 2013 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

This is the cleanest campground we've ever visited. Everything is well maintained, and it is very attractive. Our site was a large pull-through. The office staff was very helpful, and everyone we met here was friendly. There are some park models here, and the residents were very nice, inviting us to join an exercise class at the recreation center. We used the laundry, and it was large, with plenty of machines available. It is very easily accessible from US 27. We would definitely stay here again! We camped at Central Park of Haines City in a Motorhome.

Rock Crusher Canyon RV Park, Crystal River, Florida

Date of Stay: October, 2013 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

This park has large sites, and is in a very scenic area. The park is very clean, and we loved being here. It was a good place to get out of the traffic flow on the highways, but was still easy to access. It almost felt like we were in a state park, with the trees, and the feeling of privacy at our site. The office staff was friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Rock Crusher Canyon RV Park in a Motorhome.

First time at this park, as we have always before stayed at a neighboring one. We were pleasantly surprised. It is very pleasant, has a nice laundry room, and the people in the office were very friendly and helpful. It is well kept. This is the Passport America price. We camped at Hilltop RV Park in a Motorhome.

Frog City RV Park, Duson, Louisiana

Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

This is the Passport America rate. We like to stay here when we cross Louisiana, because it is near the I-10, with easy on and off. We haven't stayed more than one night per visit, so it is only an overnight stop for us, and it is more than adequate for that. We camped at Frog City RV Park in a Motorhome.
