Friendly and efficient staff, easy in and out. Utilities worked well. Basically a gravel parking lot but it's the best campground in the area and very convenient to I-20. We've stayed here in the past and will stay again when in the area.

Date of Stay:

This is a quiet and convenient location south of I-20 and east of US-90. Our site was long and level. All the utilities were conveniently located and worked well. No problem with cable, but WIFI was slow with occasional drops. The staff here are exceptional! There was a sewer problem at the edge of the campground and they worked tirelessly until it was fixed. I don't think any campers were inconvenienced. We'll stay here again if in the area.

This campground is remote, quiet and very pleasant. Lots of cactus, mesquite, cedar and rabbits. Dark nights make for excellent star gazing. Lake level was somewhat low. No boating or fishing was observed during our stay. No WIFI. If the Sisters on the Fly hadn't taken up an entire loop and part of ours, the whole park would have been nearly vacant. Our site was fairly level, hookups were convenient. We would stay here again when in the area.

Date of Stay:

Great location on the west side of Lubbock near the Loop, so it's easy to get around. We stayed in a "nightly" site which was easy to navigate, ample size, cement and level. Utilities worked well although water h/u was below ground and somewhat difficult to connect. No cable and WIFI was sketchy, but the $25 per night was a good deal. We have stayed here before and will stay again when in the area.

We really enjoyed this RV park and the surrounding areas. Our site was in the "adult only" loop with very few other campers, so it was quiet, restful, and scenic. Children and campfires were not permitted in our loop, and since they both can occasionally be disturbing to folks our age, we were delighted with these rules. The lower loops do not have these restrictions. There is a nice dog run, plenty of activities for kids, but no swimming pool. The tennis court is a nice but seldom used facility. Many of the sites are not level, so be prepared to make adjustments. Our loop appeared to have significantly more room at each site and between sites. WIFI and cable TV were reliable during our stay. Utilities were well placed and worked without any problems. Be careful navigating the interior roads as they are narrow with sharp turns and big trees in some places. These roads are smooth and paved, however. We stayed 5 nights and will stay here again when in the Red River area. Management is efficient, very friendly and supportive.

We stay here almost every trip through this part of Texas, and will continue to do so due to the convenience and reliability of the campground. Sites are level, long and easy to enter and exit. We have never had a problem with utilities. Be advised that we only stay one night here and never use anything but water, electric and occasionally sewer. There is highway and truck stop noise 24/7, but it is not be a problem for us since we keep our windows closed. On this visit there was no internet, but the owner was upfront with a sign on the door. Also, the swimming pool was empty, so be sure to call ahead if you need these amenities.

We broke down near this campground. The owner and staff were extremely helpful in our distress with a broken axle. This campground is quiet and safe with long, pull-through, gravel, and mostly level sites. The utilities were well located. Presho is a very interesting small town. While waiting on a new axle, we spent time exploring the area. Should we be on I-90 in SD again, we'll make it a point to stop here.

Owners run a safe, clean, quiet campground. We've stayed here before, so we knew it was great. They even gave away fresh produce from their garden. Clean, efficient laundry, good WIFI, easy in and out. It helps to use your GPS if you are unfamiliar with the area.

Check-in was very quick and efficient. This may be the best place to stay in the area. Sites are roomy and the layout of the campground is good except for the unlevel sites. Wi-Fi was slow to very slow, but we were usually able to get our basic online stuff done. Staff and campers were exceptionally friendly. We were treated to a nearby hot air balloon rally (we counted 15). Downtown Canton has a lot of neat old buildings. We would definitely stay here again if in the area.

The positives will be mentioned first. Very easy in and out and convenient to I-20. The sites were comfortably sized, and relatively level. The check-in was efficient, friendly and accommodating. Wi-Fi worked very well. Improvements to the campground are being made. The negatives include a bad electrical at our first site, run-down appearance of some of the buildings, and the swimming pool was being permanently filled with dirt. Overall, this campground was adequate for an overnight, but seemed a bit overpriced. We would probably try someplace else next time.

This is a wonderful State Park, and we keep returning. We even have a favorite site, 62. It is hard to beat the relaxation and enjoyment of this ample wooded, quiet, lakeside location. The wide variety of birds and the frequent visits from grazing deer at our site was delightful. Unfortunately, there is no sewer at the campsites, only a dump station. The rate for our 30 amp site was $25, but we also had to pay entrance fees which accounts for the total of $33 per night. We went to McDonalds in Sanger for internet access.

We have thoroughly enjoyed our stays here. The hummingbirds and chipmunks are wonderful entertainment. We spotted a dusty grouse on one of our hikes. The scenery is magnificent. The river is beautiful and relaxing. The history of the area is interesting, and there are lots of areas to explore, on and off the property. The sites are a bit tight (designed before larger RVs with slides), but plenty long enough and manageable. The sites aren't perfectly level, but it's easy to make any minor adjustments. We couldn't get a cell signal, but the owners were kind enough to allow the use of their office phone when necessary, and it was a short drive to find a cell signal. The WiFi is sometimes slow and unreliable, but we suspect some of the campers may be streaming videos. Keep in mind that this is not a "resort" campground, but a "Mom and Pop" operation, and the owners are terrific. The utilities are reliable, the restrooms and laundry room were clean and well maintained. We stayed here a week and never ran out of stuff to do. We stored our RV for several weeks (very reasonable rates) and then returned for a couple more days. We will definitely camp here again whenever we are in the area.

Super friendly owners keep things running smoothly. This is a beautiful campground with large trees. We were assigned a premium pull through site that was long, wide, and fairly level. Electric and water hookups were near the rear of the site. The Wi-Fi was faster that we've experienced at ANY other campground, in spite of a Newmar rally and being near capacity. There is some I-39 road noise, but it didn't bother us. We only stayed overnight, but will stop here again when in the area. We recommend making a reservation. Our rate reflects a Good Sam discount.

Date of Stay:

Campground was scenic, shaded, quiet and relaxing. We had full hookups at our pull-through site #16. We enjoyed watching the birds along the shoreline of the lake. Terrific sunset! No cable or Wi-Fi, but our AT&T cellphones showed a strong signal at our site and the surrounding area. Texas State Parks are a terrific value. We would stay here again if in the area.

Date of Stay:

We really enjoy this campground. Beautiful sunrise over the water. Long, pull through sites are level, utilities and WI-FI worked well. River level was down but barge traffic was able to navigate. We will continue to stay here when in the area.
