Check-in was very quick and efficient. This may be the best place to stay in the area. Sites are roomy and the layout of the campground is good except for the unlevel sites. Wi-Fi was slow to very slow, but we were usually able to get our basic online stuff done. Staff and campers were exceptionally friendly. We were treated to a nearby hot air balloon rally (we counted 15). Downtown Canton has a lot of neat old buildings. We would definitely stay here again if in the area.

The positives will be mentioned first. Very easy in and out and convenient to I-20. The sites were comfortably sized, and relatively level. The check-in was efficient, friendly and accommodating. Wi-Fi worked very well. Improvements to the campground are being made. The negatives include a bad electrical at our first site, run-down appearance of some of the buildings, and the swimming pool was being permanently filled with dirt. Overall, this campground was adequate for an overnight, but seemed a bit overpriced. We would probably try someplace else next time.

This is a wonderful State Park, and we keep returning. We even have a favorite site, 62. It is hard to beat the relaxation and enjoyment of this ample wooded, quiet, lakeside location. The wide variety of birds and the frequent visits from grazing deer at our site was delightful. Unfortunately, there is no sewer at the campsites, only a dump station. The rate for our 30 amp site was $25, but we also had to pay entrance fees which accounts for the total of $33 per night. We went to McDonalds in Sanger for internet access.

We have thoroughly enjoyed our stays here. The hummingbirds and chipmunks are wonderful entertainment. We spotted a dusty grouse on one of our hikes. The scenery is magnificent. The river is beautiful and relaxing. The history of the area is interesting, and there are lots of areas to explore, on and off the property. The sites are a bit tight (designed before larger RVs with slides), but plenty long enough and manageable. The sites aren't perfectly level, but it's easy to make any minor adjustments. We couldn't get a cell signal, but the owners were kind enough to allow the use of their office phone when necessary, and it was a short drive to find a cell signal. The WiFi is sometimes slow and unreliable, but we suspect some of the campers may be streaming videos. Keep in mind that this is not a "resort" campground, but a "Mom and Pop" operation, and the owners are terrific. The utilities are reliable, the restrooms and laundry room were clean and well maintained. We stayed here a week and never ran out of stuff to do. We stored our RV for several weeks (very reasonable rates) and then returned for a couple more days. We will definitely camp here again whenever we are in the area.

Super friendly owners keep things running smoothly. This is a beautiful campground with large trees. We were assigned a premium pull through site that was long, wide, and fairly level. Electric and water hookups were near the rear of the site. The Wi-Fi was faster that we've experienced at ANY other campground, in spite of a Newmar rally and being near capacity. There is some I-39 road noise, but it didn't bother us. We only stayed overnight, but will stop here again when in the area. We recommend making a reservation. Our rate reflects a Good Sam discount.

Campground was scenic, shaded, quiet and relaxing. We had full hookups at our pull-through site #16. We enjoyed watching the birds along the shoreline of the lake. Terrific sunset! No cable or Wi-Fi, but our AT&T cellphones showed a strong signal at our site and the surrounding area. Texas State Parks are a terrific value. We would stay here again if in the area.

We really enjoy this campground. Beautiful sunrise over the water. Long, pull through sites are level, utilities and WI-FI worked well. River level was down but barge traffic was able to navigate. We will continue to stay here when in the area.

We enjoyed this campground. When our original pull-through was too unlevel for us to stay hooked up to our tow vehicle, the staff was happy to reassign. We only needed water and electric for our one night stay. This was a very convenient on/off from I-40, but far enough away that no noise was noticed. WI-FI and utilities worked fine. We would stay here again when in the area.

Beautiful, quiet, and relaxing campground. We only stayed overnight, but would have enjoyed a longer stay. Staff was friendly, but a bit flustered trying to solve a billing problem with a previous camper. We had a long pull through that needed some leveling. Utilities and WI-FI worked well. If in the area, we would definitely stay again.

This campground needs a lot of help. At least the check-in was friendly and efficient. Interior roads are rough, signage is inadequate, and some sites have utility problems. Equipment and junk are scattered around the campground. Due to heavy rain, the grassy sites were somewhat boggy in spite of fairly good drainage so leveling was a bit challenging. Wi-Fi didn't work. If in the area again, I would try very hard to find another overnight campground. Sadly, the Brimfield area is still showing the effects of the 2011 tornado.

This is a very pleasant campground. Sites are level and setting up was easy. Utilities and Wi-Fi worked well. We really enjoyed walking around the campground and our dog enjoyed the huge pet area where she could get acquainted with the cows at the fence. Staff was efficient and friendly. We stayed overnight. This is a Good Sam park.

This is a nice campground. We experienced the same problem another camper described with almost getting stuck in the mud when we drove into our pull through after a heavy rain. The staff is very friendly, but the office was only open two hours a day. Utilities and WI-FI worked well. We stayed three days, but had to leave due to the campground closing for the season. We would probably stay elsewhere next time.

A wonderful campground -- quiet, clean, and scenic. Utilities and Wi-Fi worked well. Our pull through site was long, wide, wooded, and private. Our first site wasn't as level as it looked, so we selected another that was much better. We had the laundry room to ourselves (clean and modern). We enjoyed the hiking trail. The owners are terrific! We stayed three nights and wished we could have stayed longer. We would definitely stay here again if in the area.

This campground is worth the stop for the view alone. This was the only place in all of Quebec Province that we had trouble communicating. The staff's English was lacking, but their friendliness made up for it. Site was fairly level and grassy. Utilities worked well. We didn't use Wi-Fi. Cash only.

This was an overnight stop. It is amazing how many sites are in this campground. Since it is hilly, the sites weren't very level, but manageable. The utilities worked fine. We didn't use WI-FI. The manager was very professional, informative, and friendly. The area is scenic. We would stay here again.
