Basic state park facilities. Best for rigs 30 feet or less that take 30 amps. We had a pretty view of the inlet and Indian River from our first row site. Our site was mostly level but many are not. Voltage was 104 between 10 am and 8 pm in 90 degee sunny very humid conditions. We ran refridge on propane. Only ran electric water heater when cooler outside, or on propane. Be very careful of your power usage and you will be OK. This is NOT a place for big rigs or folks that require a lot of power. Water pressure just adequate. Dumpsters were overflowing for most of our stay. Surprisingly quiet, but we were there during the week. Enjoyed the Inlet Grill twice for mid afternoon lunch in north section of the park. Treasure museum a waste of time. Enoyed fishing museum which also covers Sebastian history. In spite of the limitations of this park we will return.

Beautiful beach, wonderful surf, lots of road noise and sand. Sites fairly wide but most are best for 32 feet long or less. Large trailers and 5ers will have trouble backing in because the road is fairly narrow. Electric good, water a little weak, just adequate for a shower in our rig. No shade at all. Verizon MiFi and cell worked great. Not much beach at high tide, beautiful at low tide. Can't see the ocean from most sites, but the sound of the surf at night after the traffic subsides will cause us to return.

Attractive overnight park with sites for a max of a 40 foot rv and vehicle. Nicely landscaped, clean, well kept. Minor road noise, might be louder if wind is east. Cement pads could be wider. Shrubs between sites allow for a feeling of some privacy on sites that are fairly close. Verizon mifi and cell worked very well, as did all utilities. Office staff assigned us a bad site close to entrance, telling us the park was full that night. We insisted on switching to another site which they grudgingly agreed to. The park was little more than half full that night, and the next! Huh? Oh well, we still would stay again.

Could be much better if they would remove many trees encroaching roads and sites, and especially removing trees in the middle of sites. Many sites are way off level and hard to access even with our 26 foot motorhome. Beach loop 1-50 is the best, coolest, and least buggy. Our site 112 was loaded with biting gnats even at midday. Beach very pretty but mostly disappears at high tide. Weak Verizon mifi and cell sgnal, but we could use them. Electric and water were good. Probably will not return.

Well run county park with excellent access to downtown Charleston 25 minutes away. We used a block on each front wheel in addition to the leveling jacks to level our rig. Utilities worked well. Wifi was so weak we could not use. Verizon mifi and cell worked well. Sites are well spaced and ours had some privacy, but not all do. Be aware that there are some "buddy sites" that are very close together. These are to be avoided unless you like camping close to a buddy. Park is a little worn around the edges, and there is some significant puddling and water on roads when it rains. Quiet most of the time, especially after 9:00 p.m. We will return.

The best part of this place is the beach and Brookgreen Gardens across the street. Our site was in deep woods which made it quite dark in the rainy weather we experienced. Many other sites are more open, which means you look at your neighbors. Staff in office were indifferent at check-in. Water and electric worked well. Verizon mifi and cell worked well. US 17 which runs by the park is a high speed, narrow, no shoulder four lane road. Could not make a left turn towing the car on departure. Too dangerous. Had to drive three miles north to the first light to make a safe U-turn to head south. Would not return.

A beautiful, well designed, well kept park with well spaced gravel sites. Would be a 10 with paved sites. Minimal road noise. Utilities worked well. Verizon MiFi and cell worked well. Large open park-like areas with grass. In most campgrounds these areas would be filled with more sites. Wish there was more to do in the area to make a longer than overnight stay worthwhile. Will return.

One of the best maintained RV parks we've seen in years of travel. Everyone at the park was very pleasant and helpful. Our back-in site had a nice mountain and farm view. Site could have been more level but our leveling jacks did the job. Utilities worked well. Extremely slow WiFi, not usable. Verizon MiFi and cell worked well. Some sites are very close together. Premium sites are really nice, but even more expensive than the high price we paid. Would return.

Good overnight stop off I-95. Almost no road or train noise. Park has been spruced up since our last visit a few years ago. Utilities worked well. Easy in, easy out. Verizon MiFi and cell worked well. Will stay again for overnight.

Date of Stay:

Would rate higher but much road noise here. Overnight sites are level with good hookups. Attractive lake. WiFi good. Overnight sites are close together. Easy in, easy out. Will stay again for overnight.

Closest RV park to Charlottesville attractions, otherwise not memorable. All sites are gravel and most are not level. We tried two sites before we could get level, but our leveling jacks could not do the job without help from additional blocks. Not acceptable! Sites are close together. Electric and water worked well, sewer was uphill requiring us to lift the sewer hose to get it to flow. Not acceptable! Weak cell phone service. Verizon mifi was slow. Park wifi sign-on screen usually did not appear so we could not use wifi most of the time. Located down 9 miles of narrow, winding, no shoulder, 55 mph road. Very difficult driving for a large RV, not too bad with our smaller class B, but had to be very careful. Quiet at night. Will not return.

Unacceptably loud road noise throughout the park from I-81. Trucks roaring by all night. Many sites are way off level, amazing for a newish place. You may be able to get level without too much work on some pull-through sites. Electric and water worked well. Sewer hose ran up hill to pipe, meaning we had to lift the hose each time to get it to flow. Not acceptable! Verizon mifi and cell worked well. Will not return.

Non-level, dirt pull thru sites. Very quiet location. 30 amp plug which we used looked new and worked well, 50 amp outlet looked worn. Verizon mifi and cell worked well. Would stay again for overnight.

The ONLY reason we go here is to get a site on the beach or with a beach view, and we were able to do that in February. If not we avoid this place. This park has the smallest, tightest sites you will ever see. You will be "professionally parked" by the employees who do a great job and need to. Utilities worked well, WiFi was slow in the evening. On the beach side you will get road noise from Estero Blvd., including plenty of loud motorcycles and trucks. You will also get noise from some of your neighbors because you will be packed in so close. We'll be back to enjoy the beach and the adjacent Junkanoo restaurant, but only for short stays of 3 or 4 nights.

Date of Stay:

We liked this campground and will be back for 7 nights in late April, so why the so-so rating? Primarily because you can't see the beach from the sites and the beach is not that great, with two steep terraces to the water. Sites are sandy with overhanging trees that will dump stuff on your rig but provide some shade. There is some noise from the adjacent Turtle Beach public parking until late at night, and the sites nearest the road get road noise, but traffic at this end of Siesta Key is not heavy. Sites are really designed for up to 30' motorhomes. Bigger rigs will struggle to get situated as will trailers and 5ers due to the narrow campground road. Hookups are all situated at the rear of the site making for a 20' sewer hose run for us. Bathroom is old but fairly clean, laundromat is a nice plus. Like others we enjoyed Turtles Restaurant across the street with a bay view (not the pub with a street "view"). So in spite of my stated concerns we'll be back.
