Nice camp ground. Was just an overnight stop for us so we did not use any facilities. People were friendly and helpful. Bit pricey for what you get.

This is a nice camp ground with lots to do. They have a restaurant on site that had good food. When my wife went into the camp store to buy some aspirin they had none so the owners girlfriend insisted on driving her into town to get some. Great service and friendly people. The only down side was the nearby railroad line that ran all night. No train horns though.

Nice camp ground. Planned out before big rigs but easy to negotiate. We had a pull through that fit our 65'. There seemed to be quite a few permanent rigs but the place is well kept. Only certain sites have sewer so check when booking if you need it otherwise there is a dump station on the way in. It was an overnight stop for us on the way north so did not use any of the facilities. Close to I65 but very quiet.

This is a wonderful park. Roads and pads are concrete. There is a nice little clubhouse with a pool table, library and kitchen facilities. Everything is spotless. Pads are far apart with many trees. Very quiet area with the exception that the navy is using a local remote field to practise touch and go landings. Fun to watch them hot dogging around in trainers. Managers are very friendly and helpful. it's about 20 min. to local town of Foley which has every store imaginable and about 30 mins. to Gulf Shores.

This site is on a family farm. Very easy access from I65. All sites are pull-throughs. Owners are friendly and the WiFi is good. Water pressure is high so use a regulator. This is a great stop on the way south/north.

Older campground. Sites are tight for a larger rig (we are over 60' with toad) so call ahead to make sure they can accommodate you. We stayed one night on way south so can't comment on area. Backs onto the Wabash river. Lots of trees. Owner friendly and helpful. Nice CG for smaller rigs.

First the only thing this has is the view of Lake Michigan. It's right on the lakefront. Problems: The check in process at the hotel is a joke. After three years they should have it down. Asked on the phone for a particular site and was told we don't reserve sites. Asked about a site when booking in and was told that it was reserved! Which is it? Got to the site and someone was in it. Assigned another and there was a heavy (very) picnic table on the pad. Seems the grass cutting crew put them there and never put them back. It had rained and some of the sites were flooded. Was told it happens whenever there is heavy rain. So step out the door into mud. This place could be a jewel if management would get a grip.

We often stay here. It's a wonderful site except there are no water or sewer hook ups. Both are available at the marina along with toilets and showers about 3/4 mile along the lakefront. There is a beach house with toilets and shower as well, but the Marina is nicer. They need to do something about the electric as there seems to be only a 200 amp service and voltage is always low (108v was seen at times). There is always talk about expanding and installing full hook-ups but this is the Navy and everything takes forever to get done. Note that the reservations are now taken by the Navy Gateway Inn on base NOT the Marina. Phone # is 847-688-6675 24 hour service. Make sure you emphasize RV Park and not "camping" because that is tent camping at a different site.

Nice little marina/RV park right on river. Because of low water levels the docks were empty so it was very quite. Owner is friendly. Good restaurant called the Lighthouse Inn right on the lake not too far away. Wi-Fi was down otherwise a it's a 10.

Very nice small park. Stayed only one night on way home. Owner very friendly and caring. Park is immaculate. Close to I-57 but not noisy. Was in site 34 close to office so Wi-Fi signal full strength. You may arrive after hours without problems.

I hate to give this site the 5 stars it deserves as it will always be full! This is the nicest site we have ever stayed at. Besides full hook-ups you get your own fire ring, cabana with a picnic table as well as a park bench to watch the boats go by. You have to book well in advance and send them a check. No B.S. fees from third party on-line booking sites or park entry fees here. The camp hosts are friendly. Security is excellent as it's patrolled by the Houghton PD. There are restrooms just along the road but you must be self-contained to stay here. There is easy access to all amenity's as the site is located close to downtown though you would never know it once camped. If only other sites were as well run as this one.

We booked this on line - only option - which adds $10.00 to the site fee of $22.00. There is an entrance fee of $10.00 per day each day! Buy the yearly out of state sticker for $35.00 if you want to enter a state park more than 3 times! We arrived after dark and could not back into our assigned site as there were picnic tables in the way. It was of course pitch dark. There were no unreserved spaces alongside the road available. We were very disappointed and drove the extra 110 miles home. We had driven from the City of Hougton, MI RV park, Wisconsin needs to look at how they run their park. Too expensive for what you get.

Very well maintained park. Helpful staff and excellent, clean facilities. Despite a lot of recent rain the grass sites were quite good. Dump station was spotless. As this is the 4th July holiday site was very busy but there was no excessive noise in the evening. Several people we met were locals who are regulars. There is even a group that raises funds for the park to add what the State cannot.

Site is on the lakefront at Naval Station, Great Lakes. Very quiet with excellent security. Navy spent $2,000,000 restoring the boat house at the marina (about 5 min drive along the lake) part of which installed new laundry, restrooms and showers. Presently there are plans to erect a shower block at the site and install water and sewer. The dump station is at the marina. Site is open all year and some people stationed there overwinter. Biggest problem is waiting at the badge and pass office for paperwork to be done. There is a separate tent camping are available at the south end of the base on the lake.
