Yellowhammer RV Sales and Campground, Clanton, Alabama

Date of Stay: October, 2013 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Spent one night on the way to somewhere else. Although not controllable by KOA the freeway noise was a bit much. But if you want the cleanest and nicest showers you've ever seen, this place has it. Front desk friendly and helpful. Wear earplugs! We camped at Yellowhammer RV Sales and Campground in a Motorhome.

Anchors Aweigh RV Resort, Foley, Alabama

Date of Stay: October, 2013 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed just one night in a pull-through. Friendly front desk staff, well laid out, with full facilities. To be picky, could have had more trash receptacles instead of the one dumpster on the way out. Great facilities. Very clean bathrooms/showers. We camped at Anchors Aweigh RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Destin West RV Resort, Fort Walton Beach, Florida

Date of Stay: March, 2012 - $100.00
Overall Rating:

New park with minor growing pains but well worth it. Advertised as 'gated' but no gate. Not to be snobby but should restrict to Class A and maybe 5th wheels. Only one shower/restroom facility for 54 spots. Need another. Other than that, a great facility and yes we'll be back. Excellent location, price is a bit much and should be adjusted down to be competitive. Great staff, very clean facilities. The Destin/Ft. Walton Beach area has some of the most beautiful beaches and water in the world. This RV resort is between the intercoastal waterway and the Gulf of Mexico with full use of the Ramada Inn facilities across the street. Off season rates are reasonable, on season rates are pretty high, but if this facility grows healthy and in the right direction it will continue to be worth the stay. We camped at Destin West RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Fred Gannon Rocky Bayou State Park, Niceville, Florida

Date of Stay: October, 2011 - $16.00
Overall Rating:

Great park, friendly employees. Restrooms were very clean. Some spots were sloped enough where we couldn't get motorhome completely level without blocks. We were here to attend to family problems and were in a state of flux with a bit of stress, but the park personnel were always accommodating. Will always use this park when in the area. Only reason a rating of 9 and not 10 is no sewer, Otherwise: GREAT! We camped at Fred Gannon Rocky Bayou State Park in a Motorhome.

Carrabelle Beach RV Resort, Carrabelle, Florida

Date of Stay: October, 2011 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

It is a very nice location along the NW Florida Gulf Coast that is undiscovered. It is an immaculate facility, fair price, friendly and knowledgeable personnel. I highly recommend this RV park. Our only criticism: 40' or larger is a little challenging to maneuver but possible. Just go slow. We camped at Carrabelle Beach RV Resort in a Motorhome.

James Island County Park, Charleston, South Carolina

Date of Stay: October, 2011 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We travel with two Standard Poodles and the huge, fenced dog park was great! Wi-Fi was spotty when the stormy weather rolled in. Park personnel we're always friendly and helpful. The grounds were well kept, bathrooms were clean. Don't miss the Christmas lights which are lit beginning November 11th. The actual RV space was large, private, well maintained, and easy to back into as were all the roads throughout the park. Great park, worth coming back to. We camped at James Island County Park in a Motorhome.

Spent 3 nights. Owner and employees were friendly and helpful. Park was spotless and well maintained. This is a new RV park, but it will grow into one of the best, I'm sure. Owner has planned well. Would highly recommend this RV Park. We camped at Ancient Redwoods RV Park in a Motorhome.
