We stayed here one week. Rate reflects extra dollar a day for cable and 7 for 6 night discounted rate. We had a nice brook side site. Waste water location was really far back on site so we just made it by stretching our 2 hoses to the max. In my opinion, the only negative was Saturday night when they had a DJ sound system come in to play music until quiet time. The low notes were shaking our 5th wheel. I guess it tired out the 10 to 12 year olds who danced to it. We would come back but ask to be a little further from the action.

This campground has a nice location about 7 miles from town. Cable was an extra charge which it shouldn't be at KOA prices. The owner took us to our site and pretty much rushed the backing in. He wanted me to "trust" that he knew better than I do when backing our 5th wheel. We ended up short of the cable connection and about 1' from the trailer backed in on the site that was diagonally behind us. Other than his attitude the park is worth staying in. We would go back.

We used this park because it is near Bangor and right next door to a RV repair business. This campground has some seasonal sites but many sites for travelers. Most site are pretty level. Everything is very clean and pretty new. Two thumbs up on the toilet/showers for being well cared for. Easy access from the highway. Owners are nice and give great customer service. Good spot to spend a night or a few days while visiting the area. If we needed to stay in the area again we would stay here.

The previous review told much of the story. Nice owners and great location if you prefer not to deal every day with the Bar Harbor crowd. You can put a kayak in here at the campground or go 1/4 mile down the road to a public access ramp for a bit larger boat. My only complaint here was the condition of the bathrooms/showers. The building is falling down and unkept. It was always filled with insects. It seems as if the owners either don't see the condition of this or don't care. Could have given it a 9 but just can't get past the bathrooms.

Rate is combination of Passport America and full price. This park is in a nice setting on the Ausable River. River sites nearer the entrance get a lot of noise from a nearby bridge. Many of the choice river sites are taken up by seasonal campers. We were here over the 4th and so the campground was maxed out. Our electric protection device (SG) kept shuting down due to campground electrical issues. After the holiday it worked but did kick out a couple of times. A camper next to us had air conditioner problems and during a discussion with him I tested his outlet. Hot and neutral were reversed on his site. I spoke to the owners of the park about this and when we left 3 days later they had done nothing about it. Bathrooms and showers needed much more attention both during and after the holidays. When they cleaned the bathrooms it was very superficial. The owners were always pleasant, nice people. If we had no other choice we would stay here again for an overnight or a couple of days.

This park is owned by an RV park corporation, and now has a Nascar theme. Reservations booked through a central booking office and not from the campground. We came on a Monday for one night. Booked for electric and water only and was told that the site did not have cable TV. When we arrived our site did have cable TV. This is probably a disconnect with the campground itself and the booking people. Our section had large nice treed spaces but no concrete pad and the site itself was dirt. Leveling necessary. Showers were clean but but need some updating. I'm sure Nascar race days are a zoo here as they have a jumbo screen for viewing the race and promote tailgate parties. It seems like with the big pool they have and the activities it might be good for families with an interest in Nascar.

This park is beautiful especially during the week when they have fewer campers. Only 5 people using it for most of the week we were here. Locals fill it up pretty good on the weekends. Lots of small campers and tents. The park is about 30 minutes from any stores or services. That 30 minute drive from Pulaski is on roads that are pretty narrow. It would be tough in many spots to pass another larger RV without slowing to a crawl (if at that). Just before you get to the campsites, is a very steep left turn and you need to take care not to run into a ditch. Our 5th wheel is 32 feet and someone with a 35 foot 5th wheel made it in also. I'm told they don't get many motorhomes due to length. All that being said, I think we liked the park more than any other we have been in. It's a beautiful place.

Small park with nice owners. They tell us they are trying to make the park better, as the former owners didn't keep it up. No bathrooms or showers. Lots of ants and gnats. OK place to get off the road for a couple of nights. Pool was clean. Laundry room size only big enough for one person. Passport America rate.

Good spot to park the rig while you check out Savanna. No bathrooms or showers. Lots of gnats but expected I guess, in this area during what turned out to be a heat spell. Only convenience stores for food shopping. Used Passport America so it was a inexpensive site. Parts of the park have a lot of trees and keeps it from looking like just a parking lot with grass. Owners are very nice.

The road in to this campground is a little steep and tight for a short distance but motorhomes made it in OK. Nice little campground on a creek. I'm not sure if it's this time of year, but has lots of gnats. Good Sam rate.

Rate is 2 nights Passport America and 3 at regular price. They have 2 restroom/showers. The newer one near the office was generally clean and not bad to use. The older one located near the middle was dirty and both have pay showers. No sign to let you know how long you have for 0.50 cents. We did have a nice campsite backed up to the river. Lots of rain caused some of the campsites to flood. About 1/2 the campground is seasonal RV's but they only show up mostly on the weekends. It gets a 7 because the river is nice. If you Kayak or fish you might like this campground.

Good Sam rate. Only two restroom/showers and they had combination locks which didn't work. Inside chain on doors left much to be desired for security. The pool needed some upkeep and appeared unused. Ok park for a couple of nights. Not very far from the main highway but far enough to avoid the noise. Would stay here for an overnight in the future.

Very clean bathrooms and showers. We arrived just late enough that the Canadian snowbirds had left for the summer. I'm told they are pretty full during the winter. Close to shops and restaurants. The managers were always very nice and helpful. Rate is Good Sam weekly rate.

Good Sam rate. Nice park with no frills. Clean showers. You can take short walks on a couple of trails that connect to the park. Would stay here again if passing through.

Park is outside the city about 15 minutes. It's a drive to shop or get to any food stores although the camp store is well stocked. Albuquerque has high winds at times and not much to hold the soil down. Open land behind the park caused dust to get into even closed windows. RV spaces were of good width. We would stay here again if going through the area.
