Sunset Point on Lake LBJ, Marble Falls, Texas

Date of Stay: April, 2016 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

Leaving tomorrow after a 10 day stay. Park was maintained daily and very diligently. Had a back-in for our 42' 5er and it was perfect. Lots of pull-throughs and a dedicated motorhome-only area with brick patios that had built in grills etc. Very nice. Some treed sites, some not. More upscale than most parks. Surrounded by Lake LBJ. Fishing from the bank was marginal, but that would be the fisherman. They call it Sunset Point for a reason, 8 of 10 nights the sunset was stunning! Lear Jets flying in for the weekend. Would highly recommend. We camped at Sunset Point on Lake LBJ in a Fifth Wheel.

Marble Falls is a cute town, but easy access to hill country wineries, bluebonnets and wildflowers, country road trips. Austin is about 40 minutes.

Oasis Las Vegas RV Resort, Las Vegas, Nevada

Date of Stay: April, 2006 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very nice park. Once inside the boundry, it is well landscaped and clean. We reserved a premium site and when we checked in, they gave us one, right on the in/out drive. I had told them that reservations had told us a site along the clubhouse, but they said since they had two rallies in, this is all they had. It was a back in, tight with a 34' fifth wheel and full size dually pick up. The staff has been congenial, yet not overly friendly. Security is everywhere ~ which is good. The other guests are great. Had trouble getting maintenance to fix a broken sprinkler which flooded our patio, but it is done. Close to the strip, with shuttle running all day and night as well as taxis. We camped at Oasis Las Vegas RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Butch Cassidy RV Park and Campground, Salina, Utah

Date of Stay: April, 2006 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed enroute from central Colorado to Vegas. Very good spot to just spend the night. We had a nice site (#18) where we did not have to unhook the fifth wheel from the truck. Site was level. Did not leave once we got there so can not comment on area. Quiet enough to get a good sleep. Would stay over night again here. We camped at Butch Cassidy RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed here for 10 days ~ how relaxing. Nice and quiet, on the lake, lots of trees. Installing cable, and the wifi works excellent. Adding more cabins on the bluff and full hookups up there too. Local boat rental at Captain B's very resonable. No discount for extended stay. Managers friendly and helpful ~ no pay phone or laundry on site. Great food and Branson area very close. We camped at Port of Kimberling Campground (formerly Waters Edge Cabin and RV Resor in a Fifth Wheel.

Amarillo Ranch RV Park, Amarillo, Texas

Date of Stay: October, 2005 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

We used this park as first night and last night on a three week excursion. Excellent, because pull through sites are level so we did not have to unhook. Loved the limo to the Big Texan, could have a cocktail after the long day, and not have to worry about cooking or driving to dinner. We camped at Amarillo Ranch RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Water's Edge RV and Cabin Resort, Vinita, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: October, 2005 - $33.00

Very, very nice park. All sites are on the water, with wonderful views. Caught quite a lot of bass right from the shore. Very quiet, would absolutely stay here again ~ site A19. Only reason not a 10 is the dusty road to get here. We camped at Water's Edge RV and Cabin Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Elk Meadow Lodge & RV Resort, Estes Park, Colorado

Date of Stay: September, 2005 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

The folks running the park seemed a little "stand-offish". Don't know if they were tired, or had a long season or what. Site they gave us on Row G, was just dirt. They claimed it was premium. We requested a site across the road with a large pine tree, and it seemed to really put them out. Dog policy is very strict, but not enforced. Our dog on a leash 100% of the time, while others roamed freely. The extra charges for 50 amp, or cable TV a little insulting. $1.25 for a can of soda seemed a little high. However, probably the best area to stay since the competition was not close. We camped at Elk Meadow Lodge & RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
