Windrock Park Campground, Oliver Springs, Tennessee

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

This is a great place to stay if your wanting to ride off road vehicles from your site into the Wind Rock OHV park. Grounds are clean but there is no shade unless your in a tent spot. Good water, electric and sewer hook ups. Grave pad with concrete patio. Friendly staff. The bath house needs AC was always very hot and humid inside. We camped at Windrock Park Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Hart Springs campground, Bell, Florida

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

The park has clean grounds and the the hookups were good. Grass and sandy sites so I needed to put down the outside carpet to keep the sand from getting tracked into the camper. If you have a golf cart or side by side UTV, you are permitted to use them in the park and to drive to the spring. The WIFI was okay and the Verizon signal was so so. The bathrooms are the downside they need a good scrubbing. The camp playground was dated. The pool on site looked nice but I did not use it. We camped at Hart Springs campground in a Travel Trailer.

Deep Creek Tube Center & Campground, Bryson City, North Carolina

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

I use this park every few years and there have been a lot of camp cabins added over the years. The sites are grass on the mountain view sites. The hookups were good and the cable TV was okay. The creek is great to tube down and the National park has horse back riding through a private vendor and trails to hike. The county road going to the campground is narrow. They have a well stocked onsite store and many things for the kids to keep them busy on the grounds. Will return and this is one of my favorite places to visit. We camped at Deep Creek Tube Center & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Battlefield Campground & RV Park (formerly Lookout Mt/Chatt South KOA), Ringgold, Georgia

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

The office is new and they converted the old KOA building into a nice club house. The showers and rest rooms stalls were small. The gravel site I was in and most of the other sites were washed out and had deep ruts. The office staff was only in the office from time to time and she would leave well before closing and lock up shop. They were not helpful with finding your site and failed to tell me the cable TV needed a converter box for it to work. The pool was very nice but they rent the pavilion/pool out for outside parties and it made the area noisy and well over crowded. There are several sites which are long term trailer and tent folks living in the park. (Domestic Drama!) The positive is they are close to Lookout Mountain, Chickamauga Nation Battlefield, Chattanooga and the Tn. Valley Railroad Museum with train rides. Easy on off of I75. We camped at Battlefield Campground & RV Park (formerly Lookout Mt/Chatt South KOA) in a Travel Trailer.

Rainbow Springs State Park, Dunnellon, Florida

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Visit this Florida State park about once a year and it is awesome. The camp sites are very private and more rustic as the foliage get more mature between sites. Will return as always as its a great place to camp and go to the springs and river. We camped at Rainbow Springs State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Windrock Park Campground, Oliver Springs, Tennessee

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

This is our second stay at this park as we have a toy hauler and ride ATV's. The access to the 72,000 acres it very convenient. The park has become a bit worn and the staff has not kept up with general maintenance since out last stay two years ago. The rest rooms were not clean on this trip and the showers were so so. I would stay here again only becasue of the great off road riding the park has. We camped at Windrock Park Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Moonshine Creek Campground, Balsam, North Carolina

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

It has been two years since the last time we stayed here and they have made some major upgrades to the bath houses. The campground service is always excellent and the grounds are always ultra clean. The kids play ground could use an upgrade. The sad part was my kids always played in the creek right behind the site that is not permitted anymore. There was two access area to the creek now and not in eye site from our spot. We camped at Moonshine Creek Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Nice place to stay in Byson City and great tubing on Deep Creek in the National Park. It has been a few years since we stayed her and they have made a few upgrades to the park. The night sky was spectacular and friendly staff made this a nice place to stay. We would stay her again. We camped at Deep Creek Tube Center & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

River Falls at the Gorge, Lakemont, Georgia

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $54.00
Overall Rating:

We stopped here for a one night stay and for 54 dollars a night it was not worth it. Indoor and outdoor pool was nice but 54 dollars a night for a overnight stay was was too much. Check-in was okay. Site was gravel and not level and there was the smell of raw sewage in the air. Do not think we will stay in this park again and there are a few other options in the area which we have used in the past and much better price and quality. We camped at River Falls at the Gorge in a Travel Trailer.

We use this park as a one night stop over from Florida to North Carolina and then back home. Easy on off from I75. Clean friendly staff and great pool and spa area for kids and adults. Rainbow Springs State Park, Dunnellon, Florida

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Great place to swim and snorkel in the springs and river. Since the campground remodel a few years ago the brush and trees are growing in nicely and most sites have become private or semi private. This campground is always clean and staff is always great. Just wish they would fix the pool. We camped at Rainbow Springs State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Manatee Springs State Park, Chiefland, Florida

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Just like so many Florida State Parks it's in disrepair. The bathhouse in the Magnolia loop was nasty. Showers were filthy, toilets backing up and filthy, the rest of the boathouse just nasty. The campground needs an upgrade. There is also a tick issue so dog owners beware and also watch yourself. Positive, staff was nice and spring and trails were awesome. We camped at Manatee Springs State Park in a Travel Trailer.

John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park, Key Largo, Florida

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

The last time we stayed here was 2007. There has been some updates in the campground like sewer connections and 50 amp but this was the only thing that kept me from rating lower than a 5. The rest of the park is falling apart though. The aquarium was closed. The beaches are in need of work at both Cannon beach and Far beach. The wooden bridge to Far Beach looked like it was about to fall into the bay. The boardwalks and observation tower were closed due to disrepair. Loud music after quiet time was not uncommon and not a park employee in site to address this. The smaller bathhouse in the campground needs updating. We will not return and its sad because this place has so much potential. We camped at John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Lake Oklawaha RV Resort, Fort McCoy, Florida

Date of Stay: May, 2014 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

This park has changed over or is the process of becoming a KOA. The pool was awesome. Being able to ride an ATV from the park to Ocola OHV area was awesome. Grass sites are somewhat level and bathhouse was clean. They need to get firewood and a better stocked camp store. This park is far from anything so bring what you need. The WiFi was useless but I did have a weak ATT signal. I would stay here if I was riding an ATV but other than that unless you fish its limited. We camped at Lake Oklawaha RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.
