Nice State park! The ranger at check in was very helpful and friendly. The site was easy to back into, paved and fairly level. Just a slight down hill slope, spot on level side to side. At least this site was(site 91). The site was close to the water. It had a covered picnic table (always a plus). Ground fire ring that was directly behind the site. 30 and 50 amp electric, with the standard water hookup adjacent to the power post. The site had plenty of room for everything and good room between neighboring sites. The trails are well marked and a comfortable walk. The bathrooms are well maintained and clean. The only negative is there is not a bathroom shower in each camping loop. It didn't matter to me since we have a bathroom in the camper, but to some it might be a bit of a walk. There is only 1 dump station near the entrance which is OK. We had a good time and will try and go back soon.

Very nice park..Great lake to fish in and nice 80 foot dock. The owners/operators were very friendly and accommodating. The roads are a bit narrow but unless you can't drive well or back up well there's no real problem. Nice showers and restrooms, they were spotless and had plenty of hot water and well well supplied. The Buffalo pasture was a nice sight. Several cabins are there to rent also and there was a pavilion with several table and chairs. The only negative to me is no picnic table or fire ring at the camp sites.I wasn't there for that so it didn't matter to me though. Next time I'm in the area I will stay there for sure.

One best parks I've ever been in! The hosts were very nice and helpful. The sites were well maintained and spacious. Easy in and out. The whole campground was a pleasure to walk around and the grounds were well maintained. It's convenient to everything in Hot Springs and the area. I can't wait to go there again!

Exceptional State park!! Beautiful views, great trails, the staff couldn't be nicer or more helpful. The bath houses were very clean and well stocked. The campsites were level, easy to back into and hookups were easy. Wi-Fi worked in the parking lot only and I had no Mobil phone reception which was OK with me; I was there to get away from it all The drive up the mountain was nice with a hairpin curve or two, but the pull was easy. I recommend this park to anyone who wants to get away and be close to everything with Huntsville just down the hill.

A nice park! Well kept, campsites have fire rings and tables along with a lantern pole. Sites seemed level (at least ours was). Very friendly staff and the park is patrolled regularly. Nice playground for the young ones. The bathhouse/ bathrooms are in great shape and kept very clean. I enjoyed the trails and while we were the park had a nature program about birds of prey that my 5 year old son loved. This park is Top Notch in my book.

Exceptionally nice state park! The Park staff are very nice and informative. They are really proud of their park and have good reason to be. The sites are pull through and have a fire ring, lantern pole, picnic table and a waist high BBQ grill. Each pull through site has water, electricity and sewer connection. Plenty of shade around the picnic table and plenty of room for an extra vehicle at the site. The facilities are starting to show some age but are in good shape, well stocked and kept clean. It rained while we were here and the camp host came by each site with plenty of time before the storm a let everyone know it was coming so we could prepare. That is a nice thing to do, so you don't lose an awning to the wind and have time to get everything outside put away. The trails are very nice and the Lake is beautiful, clear water with plenty of tables near the water. My family enjoyed the park very much and will go back whenever possible.

One of the Best parks I've been to! Great shaded sites, some pull through, some back in, but all have picnic tables and fire rings and lantern hangers. The bath houses /restrooms were very well maintained and stocked and were convenient to the the camp sites. Good trails and very nice swim beach with grills and shaded tables reasonably close to the beach area. The park store was near the beach and boat launch area. It was well stocked with bait and supplies along with ice cream and snow cones. The folks that run the store were very nice, friendly and willing to tell you all about the lake. There was a park police truck that patrolled regularly and each camp area had a park host. My family had a great time even though it was over 100 degrees out.

Nice park; campsites are neat, clean and freshly mowed while we were there. All the sites are convenient with well kept paths leading to the beach area and fishing docks. The restrooms/showers are a bit dated but were kept clean and stocked well during our visit. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the campsites were regularly patrolled by the park personnel. Nice and peaceful. Great lake for playing.

A wonderful place to spend time. The camp sites are well shaded, all sites are a very short distance to the restrooms /showers. Very well maintained sites and grounds. Great swimming areas with nice sandy beaches. Reasonable (cheap) fishing boat and trolling motor rental fees(no gas motors allowed). The Park staff and Rangers treated my wife and I extremely well. Great trails to explore with our 5 year old son. One of the best parks I've been to.
