This park is almost too commercialized. It's a very clean park with lots to do including, fishing, hiking and a great beach area for swimming. My only complaint is they didn't leave enough trees when it was cleared so unless you know the park and get there early you won't have shade until later in the evening at most sites. You can't reserve ahead of time so that's why you need to get there early. It is a great place to stay if you have kids because of the amenities which they even have a concession area at the beach and a gift store with nature information that the kids would enjoy. The restrooms are very clean with private showers and even a laundry room. We would probably go back but would prefer a park with a little more trees and more feeling of camping.

This is a really great little state park if you're not looking for a lot of frills. Ponds to fish in and hiking trails. This is an older state park but the restrooms are cleaner than larger parks we've visited. During Memorial Day weekend the rangers came by frequently and checked out the sites and restroom facilities. It's a quiet place off the beaten path. A good place to relax. We have stayed here a couple of times and will go back.

This campground is off the beaten path but if you're looking for good camping it's worth it. I would not suggest pulling any kind of trailer over 36' as I think it says on South Carolina's Park Site. We had a great time. Peace and quiet, really clean bathrooms, ponds to fish in, hiking trails, and a picnic area around the ranger station. This is an older park and some of the sites are not graveled but if you're looking to do some camping and don't need a lot of extras I highly recommend it. We will go back.

We only stayed here 1 night on the way to Pennsylvania, but it was very easy to find and get to especially late at night. The manager on duty was actually still there and lead us to our spot. We had requested an easy accessible one since we weren't getting there until late at night, and that's exactly what we got. The grounds and bathrooms were very clean. They had a pool, horseshoes, and a playground area for kids. We're not big on RV parks because of the closeness and not many trees, but this place did have several areas in the back with trees and more privacy. The camp owner was very friendly. We would definitely stay here again on our travels.

This campground was alright if you live close and don't have to drive far to get there but considering we met our son there and we're from SC it was a little disappointing. The bathrooms were not clean and the park ranger that did come by was not very friendly. We drove all around to find firewood so I would suggest buying it in town by the bundle or searching the woods for your own. It does have a really nice large pool and picnicking area at the front of the park. There are no water hookups but we knew this so it wasn't a surprise. I guess I just expected more since PA is so beautiful. We probably would not stay there again. The 28.00 a night is out of state rate and with pets.
