OMG! the flying bugs, swarms and swarms: everywhere!. This is a nice looking park, relatively easy to get into, however, the place is FULL of water bugs/mosquitoes, etc. Unbelievable. Perhaps it is the time of year but really, couldn't wait to get out of here. The trains running near by do sound their horns as they go by, which does tend to wake you up. They have recently been trying to update according to a nice letter they included with registration package, just not sure what they are going to do about the flying insects. They are literally everywhere and in very large swarms.

Great RV park for those who like a lake view from your RV. Really excellent park for those who like to go boating and water skiing. There are boat ramps, docks and a marina which includes gas for your engines. All the RV sites appeared to be level and most will have some view (though there are a few with excellent views of the lake). Easy to get into, and getting to the park are paved roads with not too many turns or too narrow. We were towing a car on a dolly and had no trouble (even in the dark). Take your sun protection if you are camping in the summer: no site is shaded. Will keep this place on our list for return visits. Hope they clean their office soon, had papers and clutter everywhere, but no reflection on the rest of the campground. We called on the way and let them know we'd be arriving after 9 pm. Hostess stayed at the office and ensured we were well taken care of. She made sure we knew about the water pressure before we arrived and double-checked upon arrival. This place probably books up for the summer weekends, so recommend making a reservation. We stayed on a Thursday night and there were more spaces available.

It is a good place to stay, especially when you are on the way to your final destination. There is plenty of shade and relatively easy access to sites. We rented the premium site so we could ensure a pull through for our motorhome with car on dolly. The site had a concrete pad for the picnic table and a tile path for the motorhome tires. Lots of grass which is maintained. The pool looked popular for the kids. There was an Exxon station on the site, however, when we left the next day the bay most convenient for motorhome access was out of gas. The RV Store on site looked like it was basically being operated out of an old motorhome - we did not visit. However, I'm sure if you needed a part, it was nice to have the store nearby. Yes, we would and will stay here again, on our way to other locations.
