River Plantation RV Park, Sevierville, Tennessee

Date of Stay: December, 2016 - $56.00
Overall Rating:

This was a large park. We make have appreciated the site or park better if it was in warmer weather. During the day there is a large Quarry behind the campground which the really large trucks are really loud. Our biggest complaint was wifi. Since it was winter there were not as many camper or things to block your signal. We have to say the wifi was the worse we have ever had. They say they have free wifi, but I am really not sure they have it all all. We had to use our phones as hotspots. This wifi issue is a deal breaker for us. I think we may have really liked this if it had not been for the wifi. We camped at River Plantation RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Pine Mountain RV Park, Pigeon Forge, Tennessee

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

We had to make reservations 1 yr ahead, then if you cancel you lose a large portion of your money. It was perfect outside, too perfect. It was cookie cutter perfect. If you went to the pool in the summer (not a problem this time of the year) you had to take your receipt to get in. Wonder how long you could keep your receipt dry to reuse in a few days?As we were setting up someone came by and hit us and the other campers up for money for the dying cancer ridden uncle. WiFi was awful. We have never had worse wifi. The TV news, all you could get for news was Fox news on 2 stations. We will not stay here again. It was not worth the money or the risk of having to cancel since we had to get the reservations a year out. It is close to everything, but that also means towing or driving in heavy traffic. In some of the campgrounds further out there are some back roads you can take to avoid the some of the heavy traffic. We camped at Pine Mountain RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Camping in the Smokies RV Park, Gatlinburg, Tennessee

Date of Stay: September, 2006 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Nice enough. Staff worked well with us picking out a site. Camp sewer system not working well. Water was leaking like a fountain out of the sewer drain the day we left. Was not able to dump black water. Site flat. Easy to take back roads to Pigeon Forge for shopping and Dollywood and miss the traffic. Gatlingburg trolley system was unpredictable as usual. Rest rooms clean. Could hear traffic all night. Will probably stay there again. We camped at Camping in the Smokies RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Clabough's Campground, Pigeon Forge, Tennessee

Date of Stay: August, 2005 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Large campground. Staff is not willing to work you on finding a site. Several sites are uneven and some very difficult to back into. The sites have not had stone placed for many years and have ruts. Knowing how some of the sites were, we recorded the sites we felt would be able to accommodate us. We called for reservations for one these sites. We were told that they have 310 sites and there was no way she could put us in a requested site. Will not stay here again unless managment changes. We camped at Clabough's Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
