Ouray KOA

Ouray, Colorado

Date of Stay:

It is the nicest KOA we've ever stayed at. Friendly staff, amazing café, hot tub, little creek running through the place. I wish there was a place like this everywhere we go! Nice location, quiet, easy to find, just look for the sign. (By the way, it is pronounced "you-RAY").

Date of Stay:

Not exactly a wilderness location, but that means everything is close by as far as shopping. Friendly staff, nice place. Some of the tent sites have nice shade, so if you're tenting this would be excellent.

Moab KOA

Moab, Utah

Date of Stay:

Very nice place with friendly staff. Nice to have working WiFi. Away from town so it was quiet and there was wildlife around. Stayed here to see Arches and Canyonlands. Only strange thing was that the showers are not separated out: men/women, so the guys have to wait for all the girls to get finished primping. Good thing we had a motorhome.

Date of Stay:

First off, there is no usable WiFi. Some people said you could sometimes get it if you set up in the restroom by the office. What good is that? Also, the trout pond is gone and the golf course is overgrown with weeds, the lawns are all dying and the pet area is also a weed patch. The restrooms were spotless but most of the soap dispensers are gone. The worst thing about this place is the staff. The manager is a shave-headed thug who threatened my mother-in-law when she was using the facilities because she could not remember the space number. I am afraid to return to this place because of what I might do to this creep if I ever see him again.
