Easy access from the highway, and easy checkin. All concrete roads and sites, however the concrete is pretty narrow in the site so you end up walking in the grass anyway. Small concrete patio at each site is located for a trailer door, but not a front entry motorhome. Not a big deal, but annoying. We would stay again when passing thru.

Well, as of 5 days ago (that would be May 6, 2015) this park is no longer a KOA. Which is one reason we picked it out of those available in Van Horn. Then when we inquired about the great breakfast cafe, we were told that it's closed Sun, Mon, and Tue because they are shorthanded and don't have enough staff. That was our second reason for stopping here! Oh well, can't win them all! The park is typical of what you will find in the southwest: lots of gravel and lots of wind = lots of dust, but the sites are good sized and the park is far enough from I-10 that noise is not an issue.

New owners working all the time we were there. They have great plans for this park. It will be a place worth staying. Plan to re-furbish the pool in the next few weeks. Lots of changes coming. Convenient to sooo many activities/festivals in the area & Orlando.

This owner is far more interested in his RV sales business and his store (fishing gear) than he is in his campground! The pull thru sites are unlevel going uphill in the front - we saw one 40 footer with his rear wheels 8" off the ground! Other than that, the sites are basically sand and pine roots. Barely worked as an overnight stop. Won't be back.

Camped here when it was Pinecone CG. Wasn't excited about returning, but was pleasantly surprised to learn it had become a KOA thanks to new owners. We could see many changes (for the better) and others in progress. Am sure this will be a great CG, especially for big rigs. We stayed on a 50amp, full hookup pullthrough. While there is no cable TV or Wi-Fi, the owners say they are planned for the near future. We will certainly stop here when in the area and will tell our friends to stop as well.
