Rancho Jurupa Park, Riverside, California

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This is a review for those looking to go here. First and foremost, let me state that I like this park and would return each and every time I go to this area. 1) Upon check in I was given a notice warning to secure everything when leaving the trailer/park for a period of time or during the overnight hours -to prevent theft. 2) There are four major animals that inhabit the area of the park, Wild pigs (scare easily, but tear up the grounds pretty good), Weasels, skunks and coyote's. We hear the coyotes a few mornings, and swathe results of visits from the pigs on two occasions during the week. 2) WIFI - the park does have free WIFI, BUT it is sketchy at best for an internet access. comes and goes constantly. 3) If you need to use the park shower facilities or the laundry, you MUST obtain non-refundable tokens from either the store or the entry kiosk during business hours.. That being said, the washers and dryers are actually pretty good. 4 tokens each ($1.00 each) - 4) ANTS !!!!!!!!!!!!! Be ready with your preferred method of preventing the little pests from entering your rig. I had stepped in/on an ant hill while connecting utilities and they really swarmed; I sprayed the crap out of them and the area and also put down some killer bait.. Had I known in advance I would have been better prepared and not had to go out and buy ant spray and bait. Okay, about the site itself, in the newer campground the sites are all concrete, close to level with a decent separation between sites. We had a pull thru (208) that was barely long enough for the trailer and truck, so I had to get creative with parking the truck at the site to keep it off the grass and out of the roadway. We camped at Rancho Jurupa Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

1) bring borax - comet for the ants 2) be prepared for OTA antenna adjustments (if you desire tv) 3) watch out for pigs, coyotes, skunks and weasel (smelled the skunks, heard the coyotes, never saw the weasels.)

Desert Eagle RV Park (Military FamCamp), Nellis AFB, Nevada

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

They have recently expanded this park, we stayed in the "Premier" part (which is the older part with trees). Very long pull through site with a combined concrete pad and gravel. Utilities are widely spaced apart, strange but we made it work. Up to 108 in early June and we had shade for the morning, but the trees for the PM were not located to shade us - made for a pretty work trailer and panting puppies. The WiFi towers are plenty BUT it didn't work well, log in and get dropped immediately by EVERY tower. OTA TV was great without even adjusting the antenna direction. Their fenced dog area, near the front is great, we drove the dogs there and they had a ball. Older but good showers and laundry right behind us. Have to say for the price a good park, but could use more shade for the hot summers (they are planted), better WiFi (out for bid to upgrade) and more grass in the Premier area. We camped at Desert Eagle RV Park (Military FamCamp) in a Fifth Wheel.

Cedar City KOA, Cedar City, Utah

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $52.00
Overall Rating:

2nd stay here, both over nights. Quite park for the most part. A few sites of all types here, long term, pull through, etc. Our sites was near the front, behind the cabins and was deprived of any grass at all. Utilities layed out strangely and offered a bit of a puzzle to connect. One dog run, and it was on the other side of the park, too far to walk our two, especially in the heat. I agree that the asphalt needs to be fixed, makes for a bumpy drive. Easy to get to the downtown area and the offering of the town. Would really like to see more grass and dog areas through out the park. We camped at Cedar City KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Hill AFB FamCamp (Military FamCamp), Hill AFB, Utah

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here overnight, sites was a pull thru along the running track. The park has a lot of trees, most of them are in the middle with the back-to-back sites. there is a fenced dog area that the dogs enjoyed (when others leashed loose dogs). Sites in our part alternated so that your door faced the neighbors and were a little tight. Exchange, Commissary and fuel were not too far away and the diesel was the cheapest in the area. The WiFi was only at the office and we did not use it. We camped at Hill AFB FamCamp (Military FamCamp) in a Fifth Wheel.

Mountain Home RV Park, Mountain Home, Idaho

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here overnight. Chose here vs the AFB because the base did not accept reservations. We were not disappointed, the park was great. Lots of trees and grass, with a large fenced dog area near the front. Very well kept park. Quiet.. We would gladly stay here again if in the area. The OTA signal was great and offered quite a few channels. Spaces had fencing around the utilities.. We camped at Mountain Home RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Pioneer RV Park, Hermiston, Oregon

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

this was an overnight stop for us. Park is virtually all asphalt with grass areas on the edges, But dogs not allowed on that grass. Dog area was in the far rear corner, no fencing and just a grass area. We drove to it. Lots of perm to long term folks staying here. Baths were okay but shower itself and dressing area were small. Laundry was good and clean. $1.00 for 20 min on the dryers, $1.50 for the washers. I do not see the draw for this park, unless you work or have family in the area. But is was one of the cheaper parks of our 6000 mile trip If you are parked up front, expect noise from the road (very close). Per the office WIFI can be intermittent (it was) We camped at Pioneer RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Spokane RV Resort, Deer Park, Washington

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

This is our 2nd visit to this park. Two parts, first is for the weekenders and the second is the long term and purchased sites. We were in the 2nd, these sites have super long concrete pads with patio. Huge grass areas between sites. they have two dog runs, both gravel, but there is a grass area outside of one. Put your trash at the end of the drive and they pick it up, daily. Very nice laundry and pool area. We camped at Spokane RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Deer Lodge KOA, Deer Lodge, Montana

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here overnight. Quiet park, right next to a river/stream - that due to recent rains was running very fast and high. Park had minor flooding in one area. There is no TV provided, BUT what isn't stated is that per the owner "the whole town is unable to get OTA, unless they are lucky", so bring DVD, Books, if it is wet, clod and rainy like out visit. We did enjoy the park, the quiet and the views. the owner and her dog we a pleasure to speak to and deal with. We would stay again if in the area. the provided WIFI is a bit sketchy (on- off) We camped at Deer Lodge KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here overnight. Very nice older park, with pretty wide sites. Camp K-9 was a huge success with9our two dogs. Quiet and easy to get to from the highway. Stoney Creek RV Resort, Osseo, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

Not as green as some, the grass had a good portion of weeds. Our site, near the front (overnight spots??) had no shade, but other areas did. No dog areas. Park is pretty large with plenty of things to do for those staying longer and with children. TV was OTA, and spotty. We camped at Stoney Creek RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

LaSalle / Peru KOA, Utica, Illinois

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

We pulled in after a huge rain storm, we were given a site very near the office - the lady walked us to the site. Although it was a gravel/grass mixture and unlevel, we were able to handle it. Park is way off the highway and in the middle of farms, but this made it very quiet and the folks were very friendly. Huge dog fenced dog run on the other side of a nice creek. Even with al of the wet areas, we enjoyed this park. We camped at LaSalle / Peru KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Twin Fountains RV Park, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

this is our third overnight stay here, this time - they did not know the reservation was for a pull through and had to "Find" a place. Our site was in the "long term" area. There are plenty of trees in this park for shade and the have done numerous improvements for those staying longer than one night, including s small bar and grill. TV was good, but channel line up didn't match the list they gave us.. We would stay here again even tho most if not all sites are on multiple levels or angles. We camped at Twin Fountains RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here overnight, though some are there long term. For us this park would only be for overnight., not much in the area, unless you have family there. WIFI died during the night. Lots of trees (and Elder Box bugs) and grass. Very pretty area. Close to town. Staff was friendly and lots of them (large family run?). Pets are welcome, but dog area was on the other side of the park, long walk from our site, but we had enough space to walk ours. Used the laundry, clean and worked well. Stayed here overnight due to another park in Terry not being satisfactory. CAUTION!!! Must enter town from the west end due to low bridges on the east. We camped at Miles City KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Thought we would give this guy a shot. Pulled in, one trailer already there. Just pulled in to a site, called his number, because of the four dogs out side of the house. No answer Left VM, waited for a bit. No call back, decided to move on. Area was muddy and huge puddles due to recent rains and would have made for a mess with the dogs.
