The rate cited is based on staying one month, and electric is NOT included in that rate either. Wonderful park, beautifully maintained, WiFi is extra, good cable TV, wonderful mail system, office staff is above and beyond nice, helpful and informative. The grounds are gorgeous, nice picnic tables furnished at all sites; large pull-through sites for the month-long stays, large cement stands; very level, manicured grounds and rules are enforced. Definitely would stay again and would recommend to anyone coming to Salem. Was also a great location for all the necessary shopping and access to interstate.

From the start we had problems with the office staff. Was assured we had one site, got here to find "someone" had given the site away. We were given another site. (Had to get our mail we had ordered, changed to reflect the "new site" we had been told just the day before, was the one we would be in!) Gal annoyed she had to put out her cigarette to check me in, even when I told her to please take her time and finish. An office staff is the first introduction to a park; this was NOT good at all. When I checked on the mail delivery, was told I had to: "Go over to the warehouse." I told her it had been signed for, and miraculously she now found it in the office. This is the FIRST time I have ever called to the manager to complain about employees: rude, incompetent and not very accommodating. However, having said all that: the office staff is the only reason we didn't give the park a ten. Has nice, level spots, beautiful views, WiFi worked great and was very nicely maintained. Would stay here again and hopefully the office staff won't be the same.

Rates had increased $5 from our stay here two years ago and yet no discernible improvements. Still the awkward head-to-toe parking system. Very hard to get in touch with the camp host or whomever runs the park and has extremely odd working hours of four hours sporadically sectioned off during the day and e-mail seemed the only way to communicate. Good stopping off spot driving through Utah heading north and getting north of Salt Lake City. Would stay here again when passing through Utah. Good facilities and more permanent residents than last time even with the two week restriction for stays. No wi-fi, but used our broadband and satellite without a problem.

Date of Stay:

Our rate is based on staying for a month and then paying electric when we leave, but at ten cents a kw, won't be that much! There was only one row we could be on to have full hook-up coupled with the month long stay for the electric charges. Unfortunately our request for an end site put us next to a permanent resident (fortunately not here during our stay because we could literally reach out and touch) and the swimming pool. If here later, this site would be awful with folks utilizing the pool. In fairness, when we first arrived, we thought it very funky and worn looking, needing TLC, well, as the month progressed, so did the spring cleaning, picnic tables have cloths added, fire pits brought to the sites, mowing and raking going on - daily there's been work sprucing up the park. Can't beat the price and if we were to come through here again, would stay here, but would request another site away from the pool area.

Very nice park with large level spots. It is a firing range, but that is only evident during daytime and even then wasn't overly loud or that annoying. Sites more suitable to fifth wheels than motorhomes because the coaches face the firing range whereas the fifth wheels would be afforded a spectacular view of downtown Las Vegas and at night time it was truly an awesome site to behold. VERY windy when we were there and had to repair our slide top awning as a result, but not the park's fault. Used our broadband and satellite dish to the fullest and would definitely stay here again. Office staff wonderfully helpful and accommodating.

As stated in previous reviews, good for visiting Joshua Tree NP. No amenities at all, inconvenient from park office to RV sites and not clearly stated where to park for the office. Very sandy and dusty and glad we missed some of the dust storms we were told were horrific when they occurred. Oddly set up, all the "amenities" like shed, cement stand and quasi-garage were located on the driver's side vs where one would actually use them. Don't imagine we'd ever want to stay here again - regardless of the nice commissary and new PX/NEX and gyms on base.

Rate is based on staying for a month, and this also necessitated being in a back-in site vs. a pull-through that are saved for shorter stays. We were backed up to a wall along the street, so made for some loud street noises at times, but the sites were very large and gravel with cement walk out areas. Lots of park models and seem to be over-running the park. But, well run, office staff is very nice and informative and efficient. Location is convenient to many places of interest whether it be shopping or sightseeing. Would definitely stay here again.

Date of Stay:

Very nicely run park, clean, lots of activities to participate in, nice large hard-stands. Camp host is extremely nice and offers lots of information about the area and the fort and suggestions of places to see while in the area. Probably the only ding were the trees needed some manicuring, but this could be seasonal. We ended up having to back out to get out of our site or run the risk of scratching the heck out of the passenger side of the coach. Would definitely stay here again.

As stated in other write-ups, this is a good place to stop for the night to stretch out. Have updated the park since last being there by adding in nice laundry and bathroom facilities that the camp host proudly showed us. However, our site had dog waste all around it, smelled like urine. But again, there for an overnight while passing through heading out west. Would stay here again for the convenience. Were told there was Wi-Fi, but never checked.

Nice park and like the convenience to staying in the area and base amenities. Very nice camp host who was very helpful and informative. Our site's cable didn't work, or was iffy, but we were on a hard stand, water pressure was good and even though the park guidelines states time limits are in effect, it definitely had that very "lived in" look. Facilities were closed for repair and had been since our last visit almost a year ago. Needs some TLC.

Rate is based on staying for one month. Large pull through sites, considerable space between sites. Always stay here when coming through San Antonio for our annual medical appointments. Easy accessibility to gym, commissary and PX - lots of construction around the entrance gates, but getting better with every visit. Will definitely stay here again. Very friendly and helpful office personnel.

Date of Stay:

Rate based on Good Sam's and staying one week getting one night free. There are level pull through sites, but VERY close to one's neighbor. This isn't particularly fun when the neighbor happens to be a heavy smoker and all the smoke kept coming into our kitchen window. Easy access, albeit cumbersome to get to I-35 with one way frontage roads. It is a good location to stop and visit friends up at Ft Hood and in Round Rock when we come through Texas. The office personnel are friendly.

Date of Stay:

As stated in other write-ups, this is a good one night park - right off I-20, and easy enough to get to. It has sites that are not level sites and arranged in a strange manner with parking parallel to the hook-ups. If an RV was put in front of us it would have been nightmarish to try to maneuver our way out. Again, good for a place off the highway and for one night. The office staff are friendly.

Date of Stay:

Stay here when visiting family and this is the first time we stayed in the new part of the park - much closer together and tight - if we were to sit at our picnic table we would have been under our neighbor's kitchen slide-out. Level stands and cement, but the oddest set up for the roads in the new portion of the park to access. We'll definitely stay here again and easy access to all the base's facilities.

This service area has full hook-ups, is muddy when it rains, but at least the sites are level. A basic and functional park while waiting for service in one of the bays. Our price was reduced by 50% because we had to remain there for 3 weeks to get our wet bay repaired and consequently, with it being a design flaw, they reduced the campground fees. Everyone is super nice, super friendly and very helpful. The 'service area' is merely a large parking lot with hook-ups.
