Piney Grove COE, New Site, Mississippi

Date of Stay: October, 2005 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

Awesome campground! We stayed there 4 nights with 2 other families and were right on the water. The sites were very well maintained. All the sites had paved level pads and gravel pads with a lantern stand, fire pit, picnic table and grill. The bathrooms were very well maintained. It was relatively quiet at the designated quiet time (10pm-7am). It's very picturesque and wooded and lots of shaded sites for tent & pop-up campers. Large and small sites, some double for multiple family camping. They had a few nice playgrounds although not very big and a multi-use court for volleyball and basketball. We will definitely go back. We camped at Piney Grove COE in a Tent Trailer.

Village Creek State Park, Wynne, Arkansas

Date of Stay: May, 2005 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

This is an excellent campground. It has very large, open grassy areas for playing. The bathrooms are very nice and well maintained. During the peak season, they usually have lots of programs for the kids. There are a few hiking trails, a nice beach and tennis courts--there is even a driving range. We love the openness of the sites and have camped on 2 of the 3 loops. We have not camped on the middle loop that is actually on Lake Dunn by the playground because it is being renovated. I suspect it will not be a disappointment once finished! Highly recommended. We camped at Village Creek State Park in a Tent Trailer.
