Boulder Oaks RV Resort, Boulder City, Nevada

Date of Stay: August, 2011 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

It is a nice park but definitely an adult community. Pool was a bit warm, but the temps were in the 100s. Site was large, and we had a view of part of Lake Mead - not worth the extra $ as it is too far away. Close to Hoover Dam and Las Vegas. They advertise a game room (pool table) but it is only available for owners. If you plan to be there for a month, I would recommend you look into private party rentals. The ones we saw while walking around the park were very nice and some with great views of the lake. We camped at Boulder Oaks RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Ruby's Inn RV Park and Campground, Bryce Canyon, Utah

Date of Stay: July, 2011 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

This place is great. A lot to do here. They have a free shuttle that takes you to the canyon. They have a ranger station onsite that provides a lot of info on the canyon. They also have an outdoor pool and an indoor pool (at the hotel) you can use. The sites are a bit close but manageable. We took the Bryce Canyon tour from here, and it was great. Well worth it. Info in the ranger station onsite. We did the horse ride to the canyon and well worth it. Just across the street. Lots to do, lots of campers, but they keep the park clean, and it is quiet at nights and during the day. I would definitely go here again. We camped at Ruby's Inn RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Pony Express RV Resort, North Salt Lake, Utah

Date of Stay: July, 2011 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park and close to downtown Salt Lake, but you are not in the city. Sites are large and the pool is great. They are very kid friendly as they let you bring your own pool toys in. It is very quiet and clean. They have a pool table and other games to play. They have an area for dogs, too. I would stay here again. We camped at Pony Express RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Iron Horse RV Resort, Elko, Nevada

Date of Stay: July, 2011 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

It is a very nice park, and the sites are nice as well as the club house. When we were there, had a lot of long term folks staying there from all over working on the pipeline. We were only there one night. They have a really large dog run that you actually could play with your dog in. Grass and all and a gazebo with chairs to sit in. They also have a pool you can use at the Hilton Garden Inn as well as onsite, but the pool is really small. The bad side, the train tracks are right in the back of the resort and they go all night. We heard them blowing their horn about every hour. That is why I gave it a 5. If there were no trains, it would be a 9. Lesson learned, ask about trains. We camped at Iron Horse RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Medford / Gold Hill KOA, Central Point, Oregon

Date of Stay: August, 2010 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

Fortunately we are only here for 1 night. On the plus side, the pool looks clean but is small and the restrooms are clean. The sites are REALLY small and narrow. I would not recommend a back-in for anything bigger then 25'. What they call a creek is really a drainage ditch. Just mud this time of the year. The people up front who checked us in where rude. The park definitely does not meet up to the standards of KOA. I would seek elsewhere. WiFi is good. We camped at Medford / Gold Hill KOA in a Motorhome.

Hee Hee Illahee RV Resort, Salem, Oregon

Date of Stay: August, 2010 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

For being so close to the highway and train tracks, it was pretty quiet. I really like this resort. I would give it a higher score but the pool was not very clean due to some filter issues they were having. They closed it. Park is centrally located to the sights in Salem. We rented a car from Enterprise on 12th and they delivered and dropped us off when we were done. Very customer friendly. We camped at Hee Hee Illahee RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Fort Stevens State Park, Hammond, Oregon

Date of Stay: July, 2010 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

It is a nice park and even though it was full, the restrooms were fairly clean. Lots of dirt and include the rain, can be muddy. I only give the park a 5 because we had our cooler full of beer stolen along with 5 others in nearby campsites. There is a public road above where we were situated that gives these kids easy access. Apparently this happens 4 or 5 times a year by the local kids. They should really close this road off at night. I would recommend going there for the day. Lots to do. We camped at Fort Stevens State Park in a Motorhome.

Mountain Gate RV Park, Redding, California

Date of Stay: July, 2010 - $34.00

This is my first review on this website, only because this park is so great. The lady in the office is really nice and funny. Loved the 'build your own sundae' and looking forward to the breakfast tomorrow morning. I did not give it a 10 because the pool is a bit small. We camped at Mountain Gate RV Park in a Motorhome.
