Had a very nice stay at this state park. It rained almost all of one day, but there was plenty to do in town nearby. It also helped that the in-law's house was close. Other reviews mention a lack of shade, but I thought there was plenty. Some of the sites that they have listed for certain trailer sizes are sure a tight squeeze. That and the fact that everyone really is packed pretty close together were the only downsides. Didn't get a chance to get to the beach. I would stay again though.

This was our third time staying here. Nice sites with lots of room and privacy. Most are separated by small patches of woods. There is a nice beach to play at and a few activities for the kids. Roads are paved and pretty easy to get a vehicle around in. Kids all learned to ride their bikes here because there isn't a lot of traffic and they have a nice smooth area to practice on. The only downside is that the nearest town with things to do is 15 minutes away. We will stay again.

This park was what it advertised, but then again it wasn't. There were playgrounds for the kids. They looked very old and lots of the equipment was in the water because of the changing water levels. Our three year old couldn't play on any of it because it was all for older kids. There is easy access to a very nice lake across the road with a small beach. However the lake that the campground (and play equipment) is on isn't clean enough for human use. Spots weren't ideal for RV's but they could be made to fit (ie. not level and very sandy and hilly). If you were tenting or boating/fishing this would have been a great spot, but it wasn't for us. We will not stay again.
