Walnut Grove Campground, Alfred, Maine

Date of Stay: September, 2009 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for the Labor Day weekend 2009. What a gem of a campground! Absolutely wonderful. The owners were the nicest and most helpful camp owners we have met yet! The seasonal campers were also very friendly and helpful as well! Very clean campground and lots of activities for the kids. Great playground and super swimming pool! The whole experience was great. The campground has a real sense of community and you feel like you know everybody as soon as you arrive! We will definitely be back to this beautiful place! We camped at Walnut Grove Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Date of Stay: June, 2009 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

A campground in transition! Very nice owners and staff! The place is being transformed into a resort. It was a dump but the new owners are really making a concerted effort to turn this place around. I see great things in their future. Overall the campground is a little rough, but the pools ( indoor and outdoor ) are very nice. They were still cleaning out the restaurant area when we were there so we didn't get to experience the food. The old seasonal and abandoned campers are being removed to make way for more improvements as well. We will be back to see the progress that is being made over time. Can't wait to see the finished product! We camped in a Travel Trailer.

Beaver Dam Campground, Berwick, Maine

Date of Stay: August, 2005 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

This was our first year camping in a trailer. We searched the local area for nice quiet, clean campgrounds and found Beaver Dam for our first try at camping with our new rig. They were exactly what we were looking for in a campground. We were very impressed with the friendly, helpful owners and staff. The campground is very clean and family oriented. It has a nice clean swimming area on the pond and a very nice pool too! The sites were spacious and clean. The bathrooms and showers were exceptionally clean and well maintained. There were many activities for children and the camp is pet friendly too. My wife and I can't say enough good things about Beaver Dam. If you're looking for an nice peaceful getaway then this is the place you're looking for!! We liked it so much we stayed here 3 times, June, July and August. Check it out!! It's great! We camped at Beaver Dam Campground in a Travel Trailer.
