Mountain View RV Park, Bowie, Arizona

Date of Stay: March, 2014 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

Our rate is the Passport America rate. Nice place to stay overnight. It could use a bunch of TLC. The owner is a very friendly guy, but it is obvious that he has lost some interest in running this place. The trains go by quite frequently. We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice campground overlooking the lake. There is some highway noise, but it is quite bearable. The staff were very courteous and helpful. The site was level and there was lots of grass and trees. Nice place for stopping over on your way through. We will stay here again for sure. We camped at Prairie Cove Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

What a nice place. Grass is plentiful with lots of trees. The staff were very friendly. The Wi-Fi worked great and the showers were clean although they did charge to use them. We would really like to come back here again. We camped at Stoney Creek RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Chicago Northwest KOA, Union, Illinois

Date of Stay: May, 2012 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here with a group and really had a great time. The owners, which are new, kept to the arrangements made with the previous owners and made our stay a pleasant one. The pool wasn't open yet which the kids would have enjoyed. The washrooms were well cleaned, but I hated the push button water supply. The Internet worked fantastic. This is a really nice, quiet place that families would enjoy. There is a wild west attraction next door. We would stay here again if we come to the Chicago area. The rate indicated was our group rate. We camped at Chicago Northwest KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Elk Creek RV Park, Elk City, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: March, 2012 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

This rate is the Good Sam rate. This is the second time we have stayed here on our way home from AZ. It is a nice quiet park with close access to I-40. It is a great place to stay one night. There are a lot of long term residents here but the pull through sites are easy in and out. The internet works great. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Elk Creek RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Enchanted Trails RV Park & Trading Post, Albuquerque, New Mexico

Date of Stay: March, 2012 - $14.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nice RV park with clean facilities. The rate quoted is Passport America rate. The sites are gravel and the day we arrived there was a sand storm so there was lots of sand around too. The washrooms were very clean. It would probably have been nicer but the wind kind of ruined everything for us. For the price we paid it was an excellent deal so we would probably stay there again for an overnight like this. We camped at Enchanted Trails RV Park & Trading Post in a Fifth Wheel.

Mesa Spirit RV Resort (55+ park), Mesa, Arizona

Date of Stay: February, 2012 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

The rate quoted is all in. It is the monthly fee plus the pet fee plus the garbage fee plus the electricity charge. The internet we had to pay for as well (tengointernet) and it was lousy. It was better than last year but still lousy. The pet area stank, smelled. It is need of cleaning. Otherwise than this it is nice clean park with lots of park models. They are working on updating some of the features. Lots of activities. The staff are all friendly along with the residents. We are seriously thinking of choosing a different park for next year. We camped at Mesa Spirit RV Resort (55+ park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Sands RV and Golf Resort (55+ Park), Desert Hot Springs, California

Date of Stay: January, 2012 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for the month of January and really enjoyed this park. The Wi-Fi was fantastic, much better than anything we have had in the past. A big plus is the fenced dog park. It is very large and grassed and we found it to be very clean. The biggest drawback at this park is the sites. They are very hard to back into and the power posts are in non friendly positions which cause you to have lots of wasted space. The golf course is wonderful. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. There are lots of long term residents and they were extremely welcoming. There is only one washroom and shower building but the exercise walking there in the wonderful sun is well worth it. The garbage is on the road in so is easy to stop at. We would definitely return to this wonderful RV park. We camped at Sands RV and Golf Resort (55+ Park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Las Vegas RV Resort , Las Vegas, Nevada

Date of Stay: December, 2011 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

Great place to stay! We had an excellent time there for the two nights over New Years. Next time we will stay longer. The washrooms are excellent and showers were very clean. The staff were friendly and very helpful in giving directions and suggestions. It is not that far to drive to "the strip" but far enough away to be quiet. Shopping is close as well as any restaurants you might want to visit. We will definitely stay here again. We camped at Las Vegas RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here on our way home from Mesa using the Good Sam discount. It is a well kept, quiet RV park. The washrooms were very clean and the showers were as well. The Wi-Fi worked fantastic and cable was great too. The sites are level from side to side but some lifting was necessary from front to back. We definitely would stay here again. We camped at Prairie Band Casino in a Fifth Wheel.

Elk Creek RV Park, Elk City, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: February, 2011 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

Rate is the Good Sam rate. This is a great place for an over-niter. It has easy access from I-40. The traffic noise is noticeable with the large number of trucks that travel the Interstate at night. The sites are fairly level and the set up was easy. The washrooms / showers are clean and spacious. What more can you expect for this price? We would stay there again. We camped at Elk Creek RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Mesa Spirit RV Resort (55+ park), Mesa, Arizona

This is a large, well kept RV park. There are a lot of permanent units mainly in one section. There are pet areas and it is well laid out. There are plenty of activities available. The Wi-Fi worked good although it does cost extra as does the cable. You also are charge a "pet fee" for each pet. Everything was very clean and the staff were friendly. We would stay there again. Roper Lake State Park, Safford, Arizona

Date of Stay: February, 2011 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

What a great park! We really enjoyed our stay at this small Arizona state park. Our site looked out over the lake. The staff was very friendly. The water did not work the first night, but they got it all fixed for the second night that we were there. There are walking trails, and the natural hot tub is very nice. We definitely would stay there again. We camped at Roper Lake State Park in a Fifth Wheel.
