Road Runner Travel Resort, Fort Pierce, Florida

Date of Stay: October, 2011 - $65.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nice park, with many trees, lots of green space and activities (pool, little lake, small golf course) but the park fails to tell pet owners of a problem with Bufo/cane frogs. These frogs are common to this park and extremely toxic. 2 dogs have recently died after encounters with these frogs, all it takes is a dog to touch this frog with mouth area, and it is fatal in less than 30 minutes). I believe they should warn guest when checking in about this danger. Has a serious problem with some French Canadians during winter. They take over the park. Very rude and unfriendly. We will not stay here again. We camped at Road Runner Travel Resort in a Motorhome.

Very nice park. Cool mountain air was welcome from the July heat. Staff was nice and helpful. Did not notice any highway noise and no smell from a paper mill. Would stay here again and would like to stay longer next time. We camped at Asheville West KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Huntington / Fox Fire KOA, Milton, West Virginia

Date of Stay: June, 2010 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Giving the campground a 6 because of the rude behavior of the owners daughter when reserving our site. Almost didn't stay here because of this. He has two daughters so don't know which, but one needs lessons in manners. Owner is very nice but didn't seem interested in knowing about rude behavior of daughter. This is sad because the campground is very nice and sites are clean and large. Stayed one night. Will we stay here again. NO unless he keeps the daughters away from answering the phone. We camped at Huntington / Fox Fire KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Carrollwood Campground & Big Fish Parkh Lakes, Woodlawn, Virginia

Date of Stay: June, 2010 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

This park was cooler than the other areas we visited in the east. Lots of nice pine trees. Very tight narrow turn by office to get to sites. Big rigs and motor homes with toads would have great difficulty. We had to back up a few times to get into that narrow road. Not much room to swing around to get in straight. The park has NO water pressure. You would have trouble taking a shower or doing anything with water. Mentioned to office lady and she said they had 35 pounds of water pressure. Most RV parks have more than that! All we got was a very small stream out of the faucets. We camped at Carrollwood Campground & Big Fish Parkh Lakes in a Fifth Wheel.

Cottonwood Grove RV Campground, Hesston, Kansas

Date of Stay: June, 2010 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

This park was bad! No park manager was available. One of those "put your money in an envelope and drop box". Pick your own site. Lots of junk cars and weeds grown up around, although the site was mowed. There were many low hanging tree limbs. Difficult to get into and out. There are some older trailers that probably live there. We will not stay here again. Passport America park, so cost $10. We camped at Cottonwood Grove RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

High Plains Camping, Oakley, Kansas

Date of Stay: June, 2010 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice park. We have stayed here several times when traveling. Nice friendly people work here. While staying here: they went around to all campers and told them of a high wind warning and suggested we stay another night. Sure glad we did, because that was some tough wind. Would have been dangerous to drive through. There is a great restaurant within walking distance. We camped at High Plains Camping in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice KOA campground. We stayed 2 nights. We would probably stay here again. Only complaint we had was the trash can for the dog area. It was stinking and no one took care of that. We camped at Wilmington KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Catfish Round-Up RV Park, Seminole, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: May, 2010 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here one night and were glad to get in. Nothing was available after the storms around OK City. Another campground gave us the information for this one. Was hot, we couldn't find a place to stay, and were traveling with 2 dogs and a cat. Nice campground for overnight. Had great catfish in the restaurant next door to where you pay for the campground. Friendly staff. We camped at Catfish Round-Up RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Memphis East Campground, Lakeland, Tennessee

Date of Stay: May, 2010 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

Campground was OK. But watch out for those silly posts buried into the ground around the camp sites. They stick up about 2 feet. We didn't see them and damaged one of our wheel covers (hub cap). If a person would get one of those jammed against their campers it would cause a great deal of damage. We camped at Memphis East Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Great little campground. Lots of nice, green grass with shade trees. Friendly staff. Stayed a week, using Escapee rate which was $17. Just off hwy 80 and easy to get to. Water pressure is great. Has a small lake, and room for big rigs. This is our second stay, and will stay here again! We camped at Prairie Oasis Campground and Cabins in a Fifth Wheel.

Denver Meadows RV Park, Aurora, Colorado

Date of Stay: June, 2009 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Denver Meadows is the worse RV park we have stayed. And we stay in a lot of RV parks since we are full timers. Most are nice but this one is terrible. Parked on an old parking lot with grass growing up between the cracks. Old electrical hook ups. Park has had water problems since we been here. No warning, they just shut off water. Only place to walk dogs is a knee high weed place. Very narrow with trash and weeds. RV office has a lot of trash and junk piled behind the office which is on the side the RVs are parked. Very dirty RV park. We are not expecting a resort but something safe and clean. When it rains it has large standing pools of water that do not drain away. Have not seen any security! We will Not stay here again. We found a nice place about a mile East of here, less expensive and much nicer. That is the place we will stay next time we have business here. We camped at Denver Meadows RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Brigham City / Perry South KOA, Brigham City, Utah

Date of Stay: June, 2009 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

Dirty camp ground, very small narrow sites, low hanging tree limbs, only one trash dumpster and was full to overflowing. No one here seems to know what is going on. Had sign on front of office for ice cream social. People showed up and no one was there. Pet walk area did not have a trash can, staff was surprised to know there was a sign that said "pet walk area." We had to take our trash with us because there was no place to put it. Over priced for this park. We camped at Brigham City / Perry South KOA in a Fifth Wheel.
