World Shooting & Recreational Complex, Sparta, Illinois

Date of Stay: July, 2010 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed a week during a National Shooting event for my sons. It is a very nice campground with a restaurant, ponds, fishing, and any sport shooting you can think of. The only drawbacks were no swimming pool, no swimming allowed in the ponds, and no laundry facilities. Otherwise, a great campground and very family friendly. We camped at World Shooting & Recreational Complex in a Travel Trailer.

Crossville / I-40 KOA , Crossville, Tennessee

Date of Stay: July, 2010 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

This campground is not family friendly. They have pet bunnies running around, but when my kids tried to pet them, the manager of the KOA told them not to pick them up because kids steal them! I let that go. Then we went to the tiny pool which has posted no diving, so my kids did not dive. They were jumping into the pool from the side. The manager of the KOA told them, no jumping, just get in the water and swim or I will close the pool. Extremely rude person. The ladies in the shop were nice and the gentleman that escorted us to our site was nice. But of all people, the manager was rude! I would never stay there with children. We camped at Crossville / I-40 KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Table Rock State Park, Pickens, South Carolina

Date of Stay: March, 2010 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

We really enjoyed our stay at this campground. It is somewhat primitive with no full hookup, but you know that going in. There are beautiful hiking trails, waterfalls, lakes, and of course the spectacular Table Rock summit. This is a family friendly campground. We camped at Table Rock State Park in a Travel Trailer.

James Island County Park, Charleston, South Carolina

Date of Stay: December, 2009 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This is a superior campground in every way! The bike paths are my favorite thing. The water park is outstanding, but I still recommend camping here is cooler weather instead of summer due to insects. The Christmas lights are spectacular. It is a very family and pet friendly park. We camped at James Island County Park in a Travel Trailer.

Ocean Lakes Family Campground, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

Date of Stay: July, 2009 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

This is an excellent campground. They have anything you could want or need. It is like a little city. You can take your own golf cart with insurance proof. This campground is very family friendly. It is extremely busy in the summer with lots of golf cart traffic if that bothers you, but most people seem to enjoy getting into the traffic with their golf cart. We camped at Ocean Lakes Family Campground in a Travel Trailer.
