Hoosier / Tipsaw Recreation Area, Tell City, Indiana

Date of Stay: July, 2010 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed at Tipsaw in the hot of July and had a ball! The water is absolutely beautiful and very well maintained! The electric hook ups were very helpful and the bath houses were extremely close and all around us. This park is very very well kept up with, they clean up every bit of trash possible, clean out the fire pits every morning and restock bath houses daily. They were extremely helpful anytime we needed something and also very friendly. They have firewood, ice and almost any other camping supply you would need. We camped at Hoosier / Tipsaw Recreation Area in a Tent.

Harmonie State Park, New Harmony, Indiana

Date of Stay: July, 2010 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

We have been to New Harmonie Campground several times. It is one of our favorites. It is very clean & has activities for the kids. We like the fact that it has shower houses on every cul-de-sac, not one central shower house. The lots are very spacious and not 'crammed' like some others. There is a pool with a water slide. We live in a neighboring county and visit New Harmonie campground once or twice each season. I highly recommend! We camped at Harmonie State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Lincoln State Park, Lincoln City, Indiana

Date of Stay: June, 2010 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

The sites are surrounded by tall pines. There is a lake and beach which our kids really enjoyed. The scenic view of lake Lincoln is breathtaking! We didn't get to enjoy the campground much. The whole campground lost power in a storm and it was pitch black until dawn. The lake was worth the stay. We live in a neighboring county. I know we'll be back! We camped at Lincoln State Park in a Travel Trailer.

John James Audubon State Park, Henderson, Kentucky

Date of Stay: September, 2009 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

This Park is along a major Highway (41), 1/2 mile south of the Twin Bridges of Indiana/Kentucky. There was a lot of traffic and noise at this campground. The sites are very close together. We were crammed in our site like sardines! Luckily we did not have a slide out. Only 1 central shower house for all sites. The playground is crappy. There is lake and they do have paddle boats which were fun! I'm not sure if we'll go back to this campground or not! We camped at John James Audubon State Park in a Travel Trailer.
