Circle C RV Campground, Dolores, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Brand new park. 5 level, graveled back-in sites with more long-term sites in wooded area. Large community building with game room, baths, showers, small store & book exchange. Small rental cabin. All sites with full utilities. Nearby town of Dolores with all services and Dolores River and Lake McPhee. Owners are most anxious to completely accommodate any request and happy to do so. I would be glad to return. We camped at Circle C RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Delta Ridge RV Park, Inc., Forrest City, Arkansas

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This is it! The cleanest, best situated, best planned park we've been to for a short stay park. Close to I-40, walking distance to restaurants & shopping, inexpensive, with wide, grassy, landscaped sites. Super easy in & out w/ WiFi that actually works well. We've been on the road 10 months & this is the best short-term RV park we've found. We camped at Delta Ridge RV Park, Inc. in a Fifth Wheel.

Southern Oaks Mobile Home & RV Community, Gulfport, Mississippi

Date of Stay: February, 2012 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

This was a very strange park in that it combined transit RVers, semi permanent RVers and mobile home residents inter spaced all over the park. That said, it seemed to work. The manager was very friendly and helpful and put us in a site that he thought would be well suited to us. The individual sites were huge, grassy lawns with concrete slabs and patios. There were a good number of channels on the cable TV but the Wi-Fi was iffy at best even though we were next to the antenna. The manager said he was "working on it". We had the best meal of our trip on the recommendation of a park neighbor. We are coming back. We camped at Southern Oaks Mobile Home & RV Community in a Motorhome.

Little Lake Charles RV (Formerly Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park), Lake Charles, Louisiana

Date of Stay: February, 2012 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

When we stayed at this park it was off season so the office was closed most of the time and the pool and water park were closed. However, the RV park itself was very nice with large trees, large grassy areas and very quiet even though there were very many transit workers there. The folks we did meet were very friendly and we even got our hot water heater fixed by an RV mechanic working on another unit. We would stay there again. We camped at Little Lake Charles RV (Formerly Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park) in a Fifth Wheel.

The Breeze Hotel & RV Park, Freeport, Texas

Date of Stay: December, 2011 - $12.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed three months at this park. December through February. It is the only park we could find on the Texas Gulf that has direct access to the beach and a view of the surf. All the sites have concrete pads with very large grassy areas. The Wi-Fi & cable are excellent and access to the small town of Surfside as well as larger service areas with full shopping is close. The folks who run the Park are friendly and helpful and we would definitely stay here again. We camped at The Breeze Hotel & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Indian Campground & RV Park, Buffalo, Wyoming

Date of Stay: July, 2010 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We did an overnight here and found it very convenient to our other destination. The park has monster trees, lots of grassy areas and is very dog friendly. It lays next to the I-90, I-25 interchange but the traffic is not all that bothersome. Good restaurants next door and across the street. A nice surprise out on the prairie. We camped at Indian Campground & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Rocky Mountain RV Park, Gardiner, Montana

Date of Stay: July, 2010 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

We lucked out and got a lower level campsite without knowing anything about the place. The upper level had cable TV and fire pits, etc., but the high winds kept them in constant peril. Our lower level site was backed up to the most spectacular views we've ever had: the little town of Gardner and the Yellowstone Mts. The tour bus we took of Yellowstone picked us up at our site. That said, the sites themselves were postage stamp size. You, litterly, sat under your neighbors slide-out. Not a bad thing when the winds were howling which was most of the time. A great jumping-off place to Yellowstone and beyond, but you wouldn't want to stay here. We camped at Rocky Mountain RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

BJ's Campground, Lusk, Wyoming

Date of Stay: July, 2010 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

If you are ever within 1,000 miles of Lusk, Wyoming, you must pop into this RV park. A quiet park with cabanas and full hook-ups, level sites and clean, clean, clean. The new owners (3 years) are super nice and helpfull and work extra hard to make they're little park "just right". We stayed here one night on our way from Colorado to the South Dakota Black Hills and it was the perfect fit. We camped at BJ's Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

The Virginian Lodge RV Resort, Jackson, Wyoming

Date of Stay: July, 2010 - $65.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here because it was the only RV park available at our time of reservation. We agree with other reviewers the park is way overpriced. In this day and age Wi-Fi is available free in almost every public facility in the world. Not at this place. It was $2.00 a day and after I signed up I found, like others, it did not work and it was like pulling teeth to get my money back. We found our site to be uncleaned and the electric box not reset when we arrived. If I'm ever in the area I'll set up in a mall parking lot before coming back to The Virginian. We camped at The Virginian Lodge RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Custer's Gulch RV Park, Custer, South Dakota

Date of Stay: July, 2010 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This is a big, green friendly park. We were here for a week and didn't get in all there was to see in the area. Our site was backed up to the National Forest and was wide and grassy and level. We were just minutes from Custer State Park, Crazy Horse Monument and the cute town of Custer. Wi-Fi was good, cell phone signal was weak and antenna stations were iffy. No cable TV. We would come back here in a heartbeat. We camped at Custer's Gulch RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
