Distant Drums RV Resort, Camp Verde, Arizona

Date of Stay: November, 2012 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

We spent Thanksgiving at this resort and enjoyed the hospitality of the park. The turkey was great! The showers are spotless and the staff is always eager to assist you. The new dog run is another added bonus. We also enjoy the convenience of the free shuttle to the nearby casino. We camped at Distant Drums RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

This is our place to overnight when in the area. Great staff, good sites and wonderful meals. We were not able to get a full hookup site, but the staff did put us next to some friends we were traveling with. The site was large which allowed us to remain hitched. Cable TV was excellent with over 50 channels. We camped at USA RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Cottonwood RV Park, Bluff, Utah

We normally stay at the Cadillac Ranch in Bluff, but they were full. We got one of the last spots here and were very pleased. The owners were very pleasant and the site was large and level. The steak house in Bluff is also a short walk away. We camped at Cottonwood RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Monte Verde RV Camp, Angel Fire, New Mexico

Date of Stay: September, 2012 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

Price reflects the WBCCI (Airstream) discount. This is our favorite park in the area and always stay when traveling by. The owners provide excellent service. The fall colors in the valley were breath taking during our visit. We had a full hookup site which was large and level. Cable TV is not available, but we did pickup several stations with the antenna to keep up with current events. We camped at Monte Verde RV Camp in a Travel Trailer.

Foot of the Rockies RV & Storage, Colorado Springs, Colorado

Date of Stay: September, 2012 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Rate reflects a Passport America discount. Staff was very friendly and helpful and found us a site large enough to remain hitched. Mostly long term residents, but still maintained. Biggest issue for us was the dog park. It is far away and the path to it was muddy with an unmarked deep hole exposed. We camped at Foot of the Rockies RV & Storage in a Travel Trailer.

Very nice campground, but right off of the highway. Hosts were very helpful and friendly. Moved my site with no problem when the hookups would not reach my vintage Airstream configuration. Rate is PPA. We camped at Boot Hill RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Found this park in the dark during a rain storm. RV sites are away from the long term and easy to get in and out. Park owner was very helpful. Excellent cable TV with 100+ stations. We camped at Plantation Park in a Travel Trailer.

Just an overnight stop. Sites were large and level. Easy on and off I-10. Dog walking area was not very good. Spent 10 minutes going over several pages of "rules" before we could park. We camped at Anthony/El Paso West KOA (formerly American RV & Marine Resort & Rally in a Travel Trailer.

My wife chose this park to hold my retirement party/rally and everyone raved about the condition of the park and the hospitality of the staff. The staff went out of their way to make this a wonderful event for me and all of my friends. We will be planning another event here in the future. La Mesa RV Park, Cortez, Colorado

Date of Stay: October, 2011 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

Nice folks at the desk, but the park could use some work. I would not let my dogs into the dog run for fear of them getting lost in the overgrown brush. No Wi-Fi at the sites. It was very muddy when it rained. We used PA. We camped at La Mesa RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
