Camp Gulf, Miramar Beach, Florida

Date of Stay: November, 2012 - $90.00
Overall Rating:

We spent a week here, on a beach site; albeit expensive, it was nice. However, we only recommend this place if you are planning on staying on or near the beach. The Camp is somewhat rundown and needs attention. The main pool area, way up be the State Route, was nice with a nice hot tub... the pool in the middle of the Camp is just a small pool and seems arranged for Children. The bathrooms were clean and private, which was nice. The Office staff were stiff and curt, but the Guys who drove throughout the Camp were great and very helpful. We camped at Camp Gulf in a Motorhome.

Yellowhammer RV Sales and Campground, Clanton, Alabama

Date of Stay: November, 2012 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

We normally avoid KOA campgrounds, based on past stays, but this place is great; very welcoming office; bathrooms, showers, and laundry room were very clean and modern. Our site was adjacent to a fish stocked small lake. It has an interesting view of I-65 of people traveling north and south in Alabama with very little highway noise. There are plenty of small stores and restaurants nearby, and there is a very nice comfortable feeling here. We recommend this place, and we will be back. We camped at Yellowhammer RV Sales and Campground in a Motorhome.

Saint Andrews State Park, Panama City Beach, Florida

Date of Stay: October, 2012 - $19.00
Overall Rating:

Great State Park. The beach was beautiful; allowing snorkeling, beach walking, swimming, and a shower. We have been to many State Parks and this one is on the top of our list... even comparing to The Grand Canyon, Monument Valley, Joshua Tree Nat'l Park, and more... Truly a great place to camp and benefit the Gulf. We recommend this place We camped at Saint Andrews State Park in a Motorhome.

Panama City Beach RV Resort, Panama City Beach, Florida

Date of Stay: October, 2012 - $64.00
Overall Rating:

Way overpriced! We needed a one night stay before our next camp at a state park. The PCB RV Resort, as it is called, is not a resort; we paid $64, including taxes, for the one night. There was pounding music coming from two sides of the place, no garbage pick up, ants all over the pad, the Wi-Fi was snail slow, and the list of rules was certainly longer than their amenities. Choose another place to stay. We camped at Panama City Beach RV Resort in a Motorhome.
