Our second time at this Park and our first choice to spend the month of Sept at. We enjoyed this Park very much, its close by to Show's and attractions yet out far enough so its nice and quiet at night. The owner's are right on top of any thing that might be an issue and generally without any input from guests......they run a tight and efficient campground. In our stay, we didn't have a single issue, the park was always quiet, the utilities excellent, the grounds spotless. We will stay here again when in the area.

The Park itself is Not Bad......the condition of repairs is wrong! No Pool (all tore up with no work being done at all), No wi-fi at adult lodge, shade at 50 amp sites is non existent , interior roads need work. Speed limit needs to be enforced of dirt-gravel roads. Quiet at night ....just needs some TLC!

At first sight, we weren't too sure about Lake Whitney but as our two week stay progressed we really started to Love it. The adult and Family Pool's were very nice. The adult lodge was a comfy retreat during the Hot days....amazing not many enjoy it, it was always empty. The roads need some work but its doable. Wooded sites with enough room around them so you don't feel crowded. We would return.

First time at Texas TT and what a nice Park. The remodeled pool area was great, loved the grass area for lounging. Lodge is spacious and planned events are posted. Most sites are spacious but not a lot of tree's for shade. We stayed here two weeks and enjoyed it very much.

Once again, the weather in July is not my first choice but we had a wedding to attend. The cost of a site isn't so bad until you had the per person non resident cost added(24.00 site plus 14.00 for two people). Nice grass area's even in the summer and concrete table area's. All utilities worked well although we did experience a power outage.

Nice enough State Park but the drive off the highway seems never ending! July would not be my first pick of months to be here but we had a deadline. Water, 50amp elect worked well in the desert heat. I was a bit taken back that the Ranger station was not staffed when we arrived(afternoon).....so picking your campsite was a memory jogger...I had to access the internet to find our site numbers thinking they might have a posting of it at the Ranger station? We enjoyed lite thunder storms during the evening hours and the drive to the Cavern's wasn't bad. I'd go back here but at a different time of year.

We had some free "Comp" days coming (9) to be exact. Our first site was crowded and not what I considered acceptable but we were only in it for a day. Once moved, are site was perfect with plenty of room. Park was extremely populated with "snow birds" ...I've never seen it as full as it was. All utilities worked perfectly...no issues. Very centrally located but walking the hills to campground could be rough on some. We liked it and will return. Our stay was in a Motorhome.

Here now on a special no cost Casino Royalty promotion(12 nights free). Lots of construction taking place which is why, I think, this offer is going on. While the park is always in pretty good shape, some of the up keep has fallen off. Also on Friday and Saturday nights, the security patrol needs to get out of their cars and speak with the late night party goers. Letting employees park in empty sites is not real attractive either. But no real complaint....still a beautiful park.

The campground itself is fairly nice. Some sites can be a challenge both parking and leveling wise. Power/ water/sewer all good but watch your voltage on those warm day's. The River, because of the drought, was well below normal and the suggestion was not to go in the water due to algae issues. There area couple of Casino's in the area but nothing special. We were disappointed about the River but can't blame the CG for that. As I recall, Verizon worked well and the Lodge had good Wi-Fi. I think I'd give this place another shot when the River is flowing again(hopefully soon).

We spent 8 nights here while visiting the Oregon coast. You do have to search a tad if you want a 50 amp full hook up site but we managed to find one that was heavily wooded and even though the adjoining site is close by, you feel totally secluded. Sat reception is very much an issue here...I worked for about an hour with a portable dish to get a signal. Pick your site carefully. The Lodge is very nice with an excellent view of the Ocean across the highway. Wi-Fi worked well at the lodge too. Verizon was weak but usuable with a booster. Good power, water and waste. Behind Whaler's Rest, this would be our second choice. I will return when in the area again.

We had heard so much about this place. We stayed on the North side of the CG and it was more like a parking lot than anything else. Yes, you are within walking distance to town and power(50amp) water and sewer are good. Cell phone was good(Verizon), Wi-Fi in the Lodge worked well also. Once again, they have an indoor pool and spa that were very nice along with the Clubhouse itself. The manager of the park on the other hand...maybe he was having a bad day but we travel with 4 small doggies and always set up x-pens outside our rig(we are very responsible Pet owners). The X-pens we normally(always cover with a roll of material so that the Kids don't bark at everything that walks by. Long story short, the manager didn't like out covering even though we've used the same thing for year's....he demanded we take it down. We cut our stay here short(schedule for 2 weeks, stayed 1) because of his attitude. Other than that, a very nice Park but one I won't go back to! we stayed here in a MH.

We stayed here for a week and had a site on the back row with a large grassy area behind us that backed up to the wilderness. All utilities were good and the pool and spa were in excellent shape. Casino about 10 miles down the road and beach access not far away either. Beautiful Clear skies here at night(very dark) great for star watching. Nice fire rings to gather around and stay toasty. Very quiet here at night. The lodge, although small, was just right for the number of quests who utilized it. We were having Doggie problems while here so it distracted from some of our enjoyment(an aging and sick lil doggie). My only disappointment here was the RPI price...it is suppose to be 10 a night but by the time they add this and that, your at 18 a night..still good but!!!

OK...so we made the trip to Oregon and Whaler's Rest was our first and our 4th stop for a total of close to 4 weeks. Very busy CG but sites seem to be fairly private. Good power(mostly 50 amp here), water pressure good, sewer in working order and most sites have cable TV hook up($$). Satellite Views can be a problem with all the tree's...get a site map when entering and it will let you know whether Sat connection is possible. The indoor pool is large and nice, the spa relaxing but pretty small. The lounge is a good place to hang out and excellent Wi-Fi here at the Lodge. Beach access is across the hiway but an easy walk. Just a recommendation, if you need a Vet, Dr. Brown in Newport was Great(can't say enough good things about them), we have a doggie emergency. All in all, loved this park and will return when we make it up this way again. We stayed here in a MH.

Date of Stay:

We stay at this park via RPI for 10 bucks a night whenever we're in the area. All utilities function as they should, mostly 30 amp sites, cable TV and Wi-Fi available with modem rental. The pools, the spas, the river are great. The on site bar is very friendly and happy hour prices make it a bargain. We happen to love site #78....it's close to everything and easy to stumble back to after a day/night at the bar. Yes, the sites are relatively close to one another but we have never had any noise issues. We will return!
