Mountain Shadows Campground, Sparwood, British Columbia

Date of Stay: July, 2010 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Nice "transit" spot. Pull through sites with good privacy, lots of trees and friendly people. Long term tenants were plentiful, but very friendly. We camped at Mountain Shadows Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tamarack RV Park, Coeur d'Alene, Idaho

Date of Stay: July, 2010 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

Terrible park with lots of long term people. Very dirty, broken down trucks in sites, dodgy looking people. We paid for two nights, and left after one. I would never stay here again. We camped at Tamarack RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Great family park with nature related activities for the family to get involved with. Naval base is interesting. Close proximity to Coeur d' Alene and shopping. Very clean facilities and fairly private sites. We staying in the Waldron Kestrel loop. On our list for a return visit. We camped at Farragut State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Astoria / Warrenton / Seaside KOA, Hammond, Oregon

Date of Stay: July, 2010 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Let me preface this by saying we are not into commercial type campgrounds. There are a ton of things to do for kids. Free ice cream, pancakes, jumping pillow, pool etc. However there is a complete lack of privacy and zero trees in the "cheaper" section by the jumping pillow. If you are into this type of campground it is ideal, however we like the trees and quiet. We stayed here for two nights before getting into Ft. Stevens. We camped at Astoria / Warrenton / Seaside KOA in a Travel Trailer.
