Wonderful park with amazing hiking trails and ultra clean amenities. We stayed on the Conifer Loop with a view of Pikes Peak (I think). The sites are well spaced with water taps regularly placed. The facilities are very clean and you see the rangers come through cleaning every day. It was nice and quiet with fairly level sites. There are many long pull throughs. We enjoyed it so much we are going in another couple weeks to finish out the season!

This wonderful campground is west of the lake and up on the hill so you have great views of the lake and the mountains as well. Lake Isabel Lodge is a short hike if you have family without camping facilities. There are three other campgrounds in the park with one being a group site, one being completely on top of one another and the third, St Charles, being one of the top one hundred in the state of Colorado as defined by a respected guide book. Though the reservation site states the hookups are 15 AMP, they are actually all 30 AMP. We had site 25, which is one of the top requested as it is isolated and shady. It does not have a view of the lake but the shade and lack of neighbors more than made up for it. I believe we heard site 16 is also very popular as are 26 and 27. The camp host was very friendly and helpful and we really enjoyed our time there.

I love this park. It is very clean and well maintained. The cost field on this form is limited to two digit, but the cost per night for a cabin is $145. The cost for a trailer site is roughly $45 with true water front being a few dollars higher. I think the service and cabins are top notch, proven by the fact my wife and daughter and I have gone there the last two Mays in a row. I will agree with the reviewer stating the sites are very small. There are people with huge Class A motorhomes in there but I don't know how hard it would be to park as many of the sites are 'permanent party'. I have stayed in two of the cabins and both were wonderful.
