Eagle RV Park, Thermopolis, Wyoming

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed in Thermopolis for three days. The campground has lots of trees and shade, and is a little bit tight for a larger unit. Satellite would work on some of the sites, but the park has an adequate cable service with cable box integrated onto the electrical pedestal. Power was good and the pedestal was well located at the rear of the space. Sewer access on this site was slightly below ground level, and need some maintenance.

This is the best available park in Thermopolis, and is a fair value. Seasonal sites are available. We camped at Eagle RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Decent supermarkets. Fuel is a bit expensive. Restaurant selection is ok. Las Fuentes, Mexican restaurant downtown, is excellent. Hot Springs State Park is the big draw and has mineral pools and decent facilities. There is good fishing available close to and in town either ala carte or guided. The town is clean, small, and easy to get around in.

Fort Caspar Campground, Casper, Wyoming

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

I phoned in for a reservation a couple of day before we arrived in Casper, and was quoted a slightly lower price for our stay than what we were charged on arrival. However, the rate was still satisfactory. The lady that checked us in was knowledgeable and cordial. The park is much better kept than the last time we used it, and we found it to be a pleasant place to stay. The things that were not quite as advertised; Wi-Fi, weak and VERY slow. Cable TV, not really available. The desk attendant mumbled something about having to get a cable box from the cable company. Not worth following up on, as we were in Casper for shopping and dining. I will probably use this campground in the future, as it is well located for getting around Casper. We camped at Fort Caspar Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Easy access to downtown Casper, and while the Mall is a ways away, freeway and main street access makes the trip easy. There are also several top notch RV dealers and service centers in the area which is nice.

Limon KOA, Limon, Colorado

Date of Stay: September, 2010 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

Park offers Hunts Bros Pizza, and a very nice breakfast on site. The very pleasant attitude of all the staff was noteworthy. The sites were flat, gravel and level, and we didn't need to unhook to use the site. An out of the way campground, that is nice to stay at. We camped at Limon KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Brush Memorial Park Campground, Brush, Colorado

Date of Stay: August, 2010 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

This park was a Godsend as available camping is very scarce in Northeastern Colorado. Park is easy in and out, and is level. We stayed one night, and since the first night is free, no charge! We took time to drop the Mayor of Brush a note to thank them for the facility. We camped at Brush Memorial Park Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Pioneer RV Park, Lander, Wyoming

Date of Stay: July, 2010 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here overnight, and found the park to be well run and quiet. The park overlooks a golf course on the North, and the Wind River Mountains to the West. The views are nice. The campsites are easy in and easy out. Ours was slightly off level, but not bad enough to unhook and level up. We camped at Pioneer RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Phillips RV Park, Evanston, Wyoming

Date of Stay: July, 2010 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Our campsite was roomy and fairly easy to negotiate. The shrubbery and trees in the park are in need of trimming. Also, use of a rooftop satellite is not possible in most of the sites. This would not be noteworthy, except for the fact that the cable TV offered in the park is really of a pretty bad quality. Channel selection is very limited, and actual channel quality is "iffy". We were here for three nights. We camped at Phillips RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
