Hi-Tide Beach & Campground, Leland, Illinois

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Park was generally clean but the "comfort station" was old and in need of updating. Showers were hot but cost $.25 for 7 1/2 minutes. More than enough time for a shower. Sunday night other campers were loud late but ceased around midnight. Last part of the season, so no big deal. We would stay here again. We camped at Hi-Tide Beach & Campground in a Tent.

Pirolli Park Campground, Petersburg, Michigan

Date of Stay: August, 2010 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Not the friendliest of greeters I have seen. There was no offer to show me where the site was despite not being busy at all. Within 2 minutes of getting to my sites, I was greeted by multiple horse flies and within a half hours tons of mosquitoes. Oh well, that's camping. The site itself was clean and level and offered some shade. The neighbors who were "regulars" stayed up until 1:00 a.m. talking very loudly. The bathroom only had two showers and were in need of updating. The water had a very bad smell and I think I smelled better before the shower. Overall a clean campground, just not a destination I will visit again. We camped at Pirolli Park Campground in a Tent Trailer.

Great campground with very friendly people. Sites were level and clean. My only complaint was a bass CD on continuous loop in the restrooms. Cannot wait to go back!! We camped at Badlands / White River KOA in a Tent Trailer.
