Fort Chiswell RV Park, Max Meadows, Virginia

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Level sites, good wifi, 50 amp service, cable TV and ATT service. The long, pull thru sites are spacious and very convenient to I-81, quiet and well lit at night. We camped at Fort Chiswell RV Park in a Motorhome.

Creekside Campground, Edinburg, Virginia

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

The site was pretty level, water pressure good, 50 amp worked well, wifi was good and ATT service good. We reserved a specific site but it wasn't available when we checked in (the unit in our reserved site was bumped into our site since his was given to someone else, after talking with several people this happened quite often). We were originally given a very narrow site that we couldn't put out our awning. We changed to our reserved site the next day and it had plenty of room. The campground hosts were very nice and helpful. It was a nice and peaceful campground until the four kids (permanent) in the park got home from school. They would ride their bikes down the one street yelling then tromp thru our site looking for each other. We camped at Creekside Campground in a Motorhome.

Fort Tatham RV Resort, Sylva, North Carolina

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

The park is very clean, sites are fairly level (all gravel fill since they removed all of the trees), good wifi, ATT service and satellite reception. The voltage only registered 110 rather than 115 but there wasn't a problem and the water pressure is very good. The creekside sites are narrow but not a problem getting into them. There are only about 30 overnight sites all of the rest are permanent structures, the park indicates it has 92 sites. The pool is very small and no chairs or table around it. Everyone is very pleasant. The sites that back up to the creek also backs up to the busy highway behind it so there is a lot of road noise and trucks using their 'jake' brakes while going down the hill. We would camp here again if in the area but wouldn't stay long term. We camped at Fort Tatham RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Sites were fairly level, wifi speed was very slow or non existent. We stayed with a group but didn't think the price was worth the sites. We camped at Stone Mountain Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Twin Oaks RV Park & Campground, Elko, Georgia

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $20.00

The park was clean and has whimsical decorations around. The sites were level, has a nice laundry room and clubhouse area. The only downside was that the wifi wasn't working. We would stay here again. We camped at Twin Oaks RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Three Flags RV Resort (Thousand Trails), Wildwood, Florida

Date of Stay: November, 2016 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

The sites are grassy, level and not too close together. The clubhouse & pool area is newly renovated and very nice. There is no cable and some sites have a lot of trees so no satellite and the wifi is only pay per use. Cell coverage for ATT is good since the park is close to the interstate. We camped at Three Flags RV Resort (Thousand Trails) in a Motorhome.

Crossroads Travel Park, Perry, Georgia

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

There are a lot of permanent people. The overnight sights are long & narrow, semi level asphalt with the sewer connection to the back of the site. We had difficulty hooking up to it when towing our vehicle. The pool was locked & had had leaves on the bottom so we couldn't use it. The wifi was slow, ATT worked well and it was convenient to I-75. We camped at Crossroads Travel Park in a Motorhome.

The Great Outdoors RV Resort, Franklin, North Carolina

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

The park is very clean and nice, mostly level sites. Cable worked well and our satellite, the pool was very clean. ATT was good, their wifi was slow. Some of the work campers in the office were rude and there were a lot of work campers that had to mow/weed wack early in the morning (8am). We wouldn't stay again since it was so expensive. We camped at The Great Outdoors RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Ripplin Waters Campground, Sevierville, Tennessee

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

Sites are gravel, two to a pull thru, back to back, and narrow. Our patio looked at the back of the rig next to us and their sewer. Only the riverside sites had concrete patios, the others did not. The restrooms and pool are older but very clean and sparkling, same with the laundry room. The campground is only 5 miles south of the Interstate so you don't have to drive the rig thru heavy traffic in Pigeon Forge. We were able to use our satellite and our ATT worked well. We camped at Ripplin Waters Campground in a Motorhome.

Cedar Creek COE, Mt Juliet, Tennessee

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

Nice open campsites with loops of approximately 6 or 7 campsites within a tight circle so can be a little tricky getting in and out. The sites were level and mostly treed but not all sites. Many had boards around the patio without any drainage so it was a small pool area when it rained, try to pick the site visually rather than online like we did. The restrooms are an all in one with no ventilation, therefore very humid and hot in July. The campground is on a nice lake with a boat ramp and swimming area. About 30 minutes from Nashville. We camped at Cedar Creek COE in a Motorhome.

Corinth Recreation Area, Double Springs, Alabama

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

The sites are paved and most but not all are level and had a gravel patio. The campground is nice but in the middle of nowhere so be sure to take your provisions with you. There is a swimming area with rocks on the bottom that hurt the feet and a very nice lake for boating and a boat ramp. Too much shade for satellite, ATT worked well. We camped at Corinth Recreation Area in a Motorhome.

Gunter Hill COE, Montgomery, Alabama

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $13.00
Overall Rating:

Sites 1-75 were renovated to include E, W, S. We had an opening and was able to use our satellite, ATT worked well. There are long asphalt sites with a gravel patio and paved roads. Very nice park for the price, the only drawback was the ants. Be sure to bring a lot of spray and spray everything touching the ground immediately, it took us several days to get rid of them after we sprayed inside and out. We camped at Gunter Hill COE in a Motorhome.

Most sites looked level, ours was narrow and uneven. Nice boardwalk to the falls & swimming area, good trails. The roads were paved and gravel sites, a lot of trees so no satellite, ATT worked well. Not far off of I-10. We camped at Falling Waters State Park in a Motorhome.

Twin Lakes RV Park, Cumming, Georgia

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This is not a destination campground as there are no amenities (no cable or bathroom facilities) but it is convenient to northern Atlanta and northern Georgia. There are quite a few permanent residents, not a problem, some sites on the lake without sewer. Our site was part of the parking area, we were able to use our satellite since our site didn't have any trees, it was a level, gravel site. There is a whole page of 40 rules! We camped at Twin Lakes RV Park in a Motorhome.

DeSoto Resort State Park, Fort Payne, Alabama

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice state park with WES, cable and wifi. We were close to the comfort station and was able to receive the wifi signal at our campsite. Our back in site was fairly level, some were not, and had a gravel pad. Shade trees at some sites. We would definitely stay here again if in the area. We camped at DeSoto Resort State Park in a Motorhome.
